Ah, response as expected. A mature, well-argumented piece of prose in correct English, just as I like to see it.

And no, the Alchemist EP shouldn't be in a list of greatest techno anthems ever.

Posted by dj jasonF on Nov-01-2004 14:23:

ohhh dont be so serius.... try to put the stick out of your asses

Posted by basd on Nov-01-2004 14:27:

No. I'm trying to educate people who think Picotto and Carl Cox are all that techno has to offer, and who think that trance was started by Tiesto and Paul van Dyk.

It's a long shot, but whatever.

I don't really know a lot about techno, but the ones i like:

DB - Murder wass the bass
Mauro Picotto - Baguette
Umek - Lanicor
Axel Bartsch & Asem Shama - Drumfiles 3.1
Hertz - Recreate (DJ Montana remix) (dunno if this is really techno, but a nice track)

Maybe some of them have been noted before in this topic..

This tune ended the history of techno: anything that sounds worse can't be called techno anymore, as it would be a lack of respect with the tune mentioned. If it sounds better, it will be religious music, as it will evoke all Gods, from all peoples, and bring world peace.

Even though it is actually acid trance, but I don't care

Posted by Stassi on Nov-01-2004 16:16:

how can techno be anthemic??

Posted by exec on Nov-01-2004 16:24:

yeah Djeebie

definatly "when i rock"

Well... that isn't techno for a start, and nor is it the most remixed electronic song ever.

Posted by Fitzpatrick on Nov-01-2004 16:35:

alright.. fair enough.. I know cafe del mar is not "techno" but as far as in, mauro piccato or josh wink techno. You have to agree often times people bundle the phrase techno to mean more than just one thing...

So in your opinion what is the most remixed track of all time?... I have seen more cafe del mar remixes than any other track... but I could be wrong...

just my 2 cents

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Nov-01-2004 16:39:

Well personally I'd say FSOL's Papua New Guinea, Grim Reaper always says Caf del Mar, but there's only about 15 remixes of it, and countless different edits of those. Apparently it's a Depeche Mode track or something though.
