It's unfortunate that I expended a bit too much of my energy during the dnb set, and couldn't keep my feets movin' to the beats of DuMonde.

Yeah, you were chillin out quite a bit as the rest of us were bustin moves all around, haha.

PS: Here's a good pic we got of our patio TA crew early on in the night:

hesitated a bit on this one...but am soooooooo glad we went.

It was jungle madness when we walked in...aw, the little junglists were so cute, lol 16+ = LOTS of kids...but the crowd was very cool...great vibe throughout the whole night and plenty of room to dance. I don't know why I had second thoughts about going...I really have nothing bad at all to say about the music, venue or people.

Ed Rush + Optical...I'm not a big d'n'b fan in clubs, but they were *really* good...I can't remember the last time I was at a party and loving the jungle. Wanted to catch some of Walter in the side room, but thre was just too much traffic movings around so we stayed in the bar area and soaked up some great d'n'b. Then came OS/2...trance heaven...the junglists were not amused and so the exodus began which created all kinds of room Great set...epic...good way to "cleanse the palate" from the d'n'b and prepare for Dumonde who ROCKED. Rank 1 and New Order...nice! THey seemed to be having a great time themselves

I could barely stand by the end of their set...destroyed. Sorry Mr. Glasgow, lasted for about 5-6 songs and bailed. The Dumonde boys guys were really nice, stopping to say hi and pose for a few pics

Dan, Chris, Nat, Jay and Jay...always a pleasure (thanks for taking pics Nat!)...Rob and John at the beginning...Marcus at the end...TAs didn't seem to be out in big numbers, but met a few new ones, Nrg2Nfinit (great costume!) and goodnet...saw a few other familiar faces too.

Looking forward to Orkidea and Rank 1/Junkie XL...and hopefully to more good events at the Docks...great venue!

I *told* you it would be massive

We were all destroyed. Such great destruction... I really can't believe how much fun I had with all of you. It's too bad that some were turned away at the door after they reached capacity.

Excuse my swiss cheese memory, but what is the track that OS/2 opened with? It is very great.

I think I wanna check out this jungle party at System on 19 December. Could be fun!

The other major party here went down fine. But it was majorly sold out, especially with all the confusion from the other party. I wanted to be there, but I was more than happy with my night....

(Buggered.) Walter says hi.

Sorry to hear that buddy. No worries, one day you will get to see MIKE.

As for this party, by the time we got our shit together we got a message that the doors were closed cuz it was at capacity, missed out on some craziness.

yeaaaaaaa this night rocked.

When dumonde was playing there was so much love and energy in the room you could feel it everywhere. They absolutely droped it best live set i've herd so far... and they played all the tracks that I wanted to hear
God Music, Never Look Back
and Jurgen Vries - The Theme [JamX And De Leons Dumonde Rmx] that just totally owned me.
met so many sick people too, big up to all the ukies&ruskies! I was the buddy in a blue Dinamo Kiev shirt!
peace!

OOOOOOOOO MAAAAAAAN!

i had a blast. we came at aroudn 1.30 to jungle and DnB. i never really listened to this type of music but i got into it after aroudn 15 min. when os/2 came on, there was soooooooooo much room cuz a lot of ppl left to the side room. i was in the front most of time, but when dumonde came on and i went under the dj booth and was there for the rest of the night. man the tunes they played were pumpin!! it was hella goood! wat surprised me is that there was lots of room up front. i thot that it would be packed but no. i guess it was for the better cuz i was going crazy!!!

its too bad i had to leave early cuz my freinds couldnt handle it. pussies. so we left at 5.30 (old time) which sucks cuz there was only 30 min left and i really wanted to go till the end. but i had soooo much energy from the music that i was not tired at all. if i could, id keep on going till 8am

thx to destiny and TR for this AWESOME party and letting the little guys like me go and see some awesome talent. thx

Posted by Chinaman on Oct-31-2004 21:20:

I'll keep this short, I'm still tired...

DuMonde was AWESOME!!! I never saw these guys at Viva but they totally kicked ass last night. I haven't been to a trance event since August and it was good to get back at one.

Good to see you TAs, I was the guy in the toy soldier costume

Posted by kron on Oct-31-2004 21:23:

damn my legs are still dead after a good sleep. dumonde definately killed me lol

Posted by Playa24_7 on Oct-31-2004 21:28:

had a great night. had to drag cale (VERTiGO), away from the party. i was the ride, had to drive my friend sara home, super early work in the morning for her, so yea, sorry dude lol. i didnt know what to expect at all, and the younger crowd and the jungle/DnB music was a big change for me. didnt like the "thugish" people there much, to much pushing, nothing like a pure trance crowd, but meh. met alot of TAs early in the night i never met, that was wicked. got to hear abit of dumondes set before we left, which was obviously what i waited for all night, and it showed on the dance floor hehe. all in all a great night, had alot of fun

Posted by Ub3rBreaker on Oct-31-2004 21:34:

Im stil in pain lol, they killed me! Def a great party.

ur costume was awesome!!!

i was really close to ur left, i a white t-shirt (not the guy with the sleeveless shirt, that was my freind)

i can just imagine how hot u were!

Posted by SgtFoo on Oct-31-2004 23:36:

For those who may have spotted me, I was the "undead soldier", wearing green army clothes with a big bloody gash on my arm held together by safety pins and 2 bloody bullet holes in my face.

The night was awesome for me right away when Dr.Trance dropped "Draft 2 Design - Affection over Reason (basic draft mix)".... that simply killed me.

Then OS2 well-prepared the main room for Dumonde's set. Fast and energetic trance ...and it's just what we needed.
It seems that no Destiny event goes without "Murder was the Bass" either... lol!!

Great to see every1 in costume too. I met a few TAs there, but not every1 that apparently was there.... oh well...
It was also quite a relief to get driven this time, so I was able to get well sloshed!!!... heheh... my friends say I made a rather funny drunk, but no abnoxious like the ones we all hate.

see you all @ Boa for Orkidea!!!!!!! w00t!!!

Decided late in the afternoon to go, didn't know what to expect. Didn't know how long I was going to last when I first walked in, wasn't in the mood for the young thugs - but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Dumonde, first time hearing them - amazing, they killed me, my back and legs are still hurting (i really shouldn't have played squash in the afternoon).

Mark, Dan, Nat it was great hanging out with you as usual, Chris really nice meeting you for the first time - hope to see you out again.

Posted by OrZonE on Nov-01-2004 01:32:

I got to the venue @ roughly 2:20, before that I was partying it up w/ the Russian massive @ UofT - my legs were hurting since we also had to walk from Union station all the way to the Docks. But, let me tell you, once I walked in it was like a breath of fresh air for me. The dance floor had LOADS of dance space.

In the DJ booth - OS/2, ripping up the decks with sick beats, which immediately lifted all my ails away and put me in a state of trancey bliss . Amazing set, simply perfect tracklisting, just what I needed.

Then, just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Dumonde came on. These guys just blow me away every time I see them, all tracks had so much energy - it was unreal. Plus, I love to see DJs having fun behind the decks and interacting with the crowd the way Dumonde did.

The only bad part is that I had to leave @5:30 since we wanted to catch the shuttle bus, and that's when it was making its last run.

Last night definitely ranks up top as one of the parties with the best atmosphere and music. Very glad I went.

Posted by Avro on Nov-01-2004 02:08:

Holy shit what a frecken gift that was! Jess and I a blast! Great vibes and amazing tunage.

showed up at 1:30 - got right in to the jungle madness - couldn't wait for the 4x4. OS2.... woah, havn't heard him pull that off in a while. Blew me away with the age of love - i thought it was the orig, but someone said it was the Marco v rmx - regardless i always dreamed of hearing that at the docks because I missed Atlantis - when Jam and Spoon came to TO. Then he drops that new GTR track - sick tune, and it was all skyward from there.

Dumonde... everyone knows about their set... Jess and I were so relieved to hear music like that in Toronto again. Hard, Melodic, Energetic = perfect. perfect flow, and everything. about 45 min to 1 hour before thier set ended they droped this one unbelievably massive track, and I don't know what it is, but I really really want to... aparently its not released yet. when it is, I need to hear it again!!!

Thank you Destiny, Temporal, Tranceaddict for your joint efforts for bringing what us and all the true trance lovers, crave and need. I love the fact that Toronto has these solid trance parties come around every once in a while

Saw some great familliars and met some really great spirits... hope to see you on the floor again in the future.

Here's a pic of Jess with Dumonde. They droped Tomorrow, and Never Look Back - which she went nuts for.

How was Kenny Glasgow????

Posted by MarkT on Nov-01-2004 02:43:

^^^ The dance floor was relatively sparse for Kenny and his opening stuff felt "tame" compared to Dumonde...maybe it was because it felt like whatever energy was left by the end of Dumonde dissipated during the changeover. It reminded me of Marco V at Guv...killer set that sapped every ounce of energy out of me.

Did anyone stick around until the end? 1/2 hour into Kenny's set and we were out...my legs are sooooo sore today

I got in there with My friends Dan (Playa24_7 here on the forums), Paulina, and Sara.

Dan and I went out to the patio to have a few drinks while Sara and Paulina stayed inside in the little side room (they couldn't take the DnB/jungle) and chilled out for a bit. I was thinking to myself "what in the fuck am I doing here with these 16 year old wannabe thugs and this drum'n'bass stuff..." Went back inside for a bit.

Got a bit thirsty again, came outside, got 2 more beers, went to walk up the little incline, got stopped by none other than robbie g. Did the ol' meet'n'greet thing, and he then mentioned he was with tatgirl, maxtuh, and dallastar, whom I all met and had a good time with for the next hour and a half or so. A little bit after that, I met walter mindz (sorry if that's not your actual TA nick dude!) and his girlfriend liquidchick (who has become a lurker, hehe). Not to forget, their friend (I think) Arbi, who was dressed up like Goofy, haha.

A bit after that, still outside, up wanders amb_, whom I introduce myself to, and he says "HEY LOOK OUT I'M THE GAY DUDE CHECKING YOU OUT FROM THE STAGE!" I was pretty shitfaced by this time, so this was hilarious and I almost spit my beer out at it (Blue is a filthy, shitty beer). Nice to meet ya man, and sorry about that previous comment, hahaha.

Also inside, on the stage licensed area, I met another TA wearing Gulf War camo, I forget your TA name but I think it started with a P. I'm sorry, I'm a bit tipsy still

By this time, OS/2 had hit the decks, and us TAs were on the licensed stage area full force, doin our thing. Dumonde came on, and Dan (Playa24_7) came to get me to bring me down to the dancefloor with the 2 girls we were with, reluctantly, I was having way too much fun with you TAs

Anyway, next time folks, can't wait to party with you all again. You girls and guys turned a shitty night filled with 16 year old thugs into an awesome night of good tunes and good drinkin times

I was glad to see & meet some more TAs like you Vertigo & you pal Dan...I had an amazing time but it didn't really start til AFTER the DnB in the main room...THere we're some very cool costumes & I even saw Osama cruising the dancefloor ...I barelly recoginzed Del in his "camo" army gear (very kewl )...I also got to meet one of the Dumonde guys but I forgot his name...It was my first time seeing these guys live & they were SO awesome that I can't wait to see them live again.I must have danced my ass off 'cause I woke up with sore legs but it was all worth it.

I was really happy to see that you can go outside to drink & that the Docks had a bar set up outside.THis was very smart I thought because the stage itself would have been rammed with people who wanted to drink.

ANyway I want to thank Destiny for putting together a great party & hope that The Docks will again be a future site for Destiny parties.

Rob

I yelled "DURKA DURKA MOHAMMED JIHAD!!" (ala "Team America: World Police") to the Osama dude, to which he replied by raising a toy AK-47 gun in the air & started "firing" it terrorist style. Whatta joker!

Wow what a great night.... Was surprised to see so many young kids, wasn't to impressed with the jungle at the beginning of the evening... Once OS/2 Came on it was crazy! Dumonde omg, so hard! It was nice to find a little spot to dance... Which is more than I can say about the side room. My legs are so sore, thank-you Destiny!
