-- How much do tiesto PVD and armin make to spin a set?
Pages (3): « 1 [2] 3 »
Well, of course big names make big money . But sometimes it's going to far ... Like here tonite, Benny Benassi will spun in a small venue club ( around 500 people ) and he asked over 10 000 $ for an 3hrs set + limo + 5 stars htel
This is ridiculous !
And , of cousre .. it's Benassi , nothing to compare with Ferry, Armin ,Oakey , Digweed etc !!

the biggest factor is the size of the club/venue....
obviously huge events like creamfields would be more,
but the capacity of the club is DIRECTLY linked to
how much they are paid...
ex. neither tiesto nor armin got even $15000 to spin
at _______..... with capacity of about 600 (these are FACTS),
yet at the guv in TO (capacity 3500-4000)its prolly
in the 30000 range if not higher.
Thats almost criminal to be earning that much. But the idea is quite appealing.

Imagine how much it would cost to book a Dj like (PvD,Tiesto,Oakenfold,John Fleming) to play at your birthday party, lol. If I was pretty rich I would pay whatever it took to get Tiesto to play.

Tiesto asks 10.000 euros for everty half hour he spins. He said it in an interview on the Dutch television. I was sitting in my chair and shaking my head. He really needs a realitycheck!
for TiC tiesto got 150000 per evening
depends on the venue
i worked for a club and we could fit in about 2,000-2500 people
if i remember correctly the most expensive DJ we signed was
Digweed @ $US 27,000
PvD was around 15,000 along with Tiesto
Sasha 17,000
and Marco V, Sander K - 12,000
numbers are rounded off and best estimates

Mark Reeder has said that PvD once made 100,000 for a 3 hour set at Gatecrasher.
It was rumoured Tiesto ot paid a total of AU$250,000 for his 2 gigs on new years here in Australia. He played in Sydney around 10-2, then flew private jet and played melbourne 4-close.
DuMonde costs 3000 euros! And they travel by car!
ive often wondered why do trance djs seem to demand more more money to spin than other genres.
top trance djs can get in excess of 20k
top hard house djs get around 5k
techno djs probably dont get any more than that either and i doubt any other genres do either like house.
So why does trance djs put such a high price tag on them selfs.

if you got sum1 in that played the same tunes as tiesto, or even armin (ie most wannabe "trance" djs...) you would still have the same tunes and have just as good mixing and just as good a party. its rediculous the way people pay stupid amounts of money to see these jokers. why do you pay for the image?

Your right man. I would rather just not have a dj and put on some burned Cd's of there sets and not have to pay anything
Whatever Tiesto gets paid, it's too much. If PVD came to Denver once a year his price might be merited, but he comes too often and his sound hasn't seemed to change much in the last several visits. I won't go to see these two, locally, unless it's free.

Yea... they're a bit overpaid. But I'd still wanna go see Tiesto or Armin or Paul if they came to town.
but from the other side if you compare their salaries to hip-hop stars (those from MTV) they dont get that much.
