Last 4 International DJs I think I've seen:

1. Sasha (01.11.04)
2. Nu-NRG (22.10.04)
3. Nick Warren (14.10.04)
4. Matthew Dekay (18.09.04)

Excluding locals like Phil K, Luke Chable, Jono Fernandez etc. That list is probably a bit trancier than my usual listening habits. Next international is Jeff Mills on the 19th which is going to be seriously good.

Top 3 sets (it's all about the tech-house these days):

Craig Richards - Live @ Flame 31.07.04 (4 hours)
Lee Burridge - Live @ Crystal Club 20.06.04
Tyler Stadius - October 2004 Promo Mix

Top 3 Tracks atm (shit with track-names, but here's a couple):

Audion - Kisses
Matthew Johnson - Decompression
Matthew Dear - Backstroke EP

EDIT: - Haha, and congrats on the new status upgrade occrider. Another 4 years and you might make tranceaddict.

EDIT #2: -

Not someone I've ever been intimately familiar with, but his name is out there. He's been a pretty prolific producer / remixer over the past couple of years and has gotten a lot of his tracks regularly into the sets of big-name prog / tech-house DJs. Also posts on 4four.org if any of you dig that sort of music.

Some mixes of his you might want to check out:

(Also check out the Little Mike @ Church mixes. Quality.)

I'm curious because when I used to live in Pittsburgh I used to go to nearly every rave and every local Djs ... since then, I've exclusively gone to relatively well known DJs. My last 4:

So you're saying you never went to anything when you were in Pittsburgh. What local scene, what local DJs...wahhhhh, what are you talking about

At Mayday this year: Tomcraft, Westbam, Michel de Hey, Chris Liebing. Really attended - as in "made an effort to hear all of it":
Tomcraft (excellent energy - I love this guy)
Zombie Nation (DJ?)
Marco Carola
Sander Kleinenberg

You guys seem to be a lot more spoiled than me. I have to travel 6-700 km to hear quality music. Hopefully that will be better in NYC.

Wrt. the main topic, I think I have misunderstood: The *all time* greatest tracks I've heard:
1: Energy 52 - Caf del Mar (Thre'n'one Remix)
2: Mauro Picotto - Lizard (Picotto Mix)
3: Awex - It's our Future

They're kind of peculiar: They cannot be played loud enough! And I have tried. Oh boy, have I tried - ask my neighbours

ehm, last 4 djs:

Ronski speed
Vizay
Sorrow
Johan Gielen

i am NOT spoiled with well know international trance djs =/

The situation about raves and big happenings here totally sucks. The last big one was Future Shock, back in 2001, with guys like Astral Projection, Talla 2xlc, Mark Spoon...there were like 10 000 people there. After that the only relatively big happening is Valkana, and it's more house and techno oriented. Really sad, because Future Shock was an annual rave that attracted thousands. The first one in 1993 I think was said to be among 3 greatest European rave happenings. It went on till 2002, when they decided it should become more oriented towards techno and unknown djs which basically reduced the audience and fucked up the financial structure. Since then, the biggest "star" here that I can remember was Umek. And he sucks.

I don't really keep track of the newest stuff really(not all actually ). Plus since I've been here I've gone more progressive(alot of folk do that tho don't they?). But the best dj's I've seen (saw most of them at global gathering this year, in other words my area is shit for djs) are:

1)Groove Armada(mmmmmmental)
2)Okie (you old crowd pleaser you)
3)Cox (...cRaZYneSs...)
4)Jermy Healy
5)Picotto

Honrable mentions to:

Jules(The guy who via Radio 1 introduced me to EDM, and when he plays in shitty little clubs in Aberdeen on a Tuesday is still 100% up for it AND is a hell of a DJ.)

Jon Carter(Good times)

Been to some other big names at global but didn't get as much from them notably Tiesto(didn't stay long tho).

EDIT: Btw. you can't buy stuff like this in Denmark. We're sooo open minded, except when it comes to entertainment...

Posted by biznology on Nov-06-2004 23:07:

Way Out West
Lee Burridge(this was the same show and i wanted to fucking go up and sound engineer myself since the vocs were wayy too loud and muddy)

Sander Kleinenberg

Max Graham

Armin(who i flipped off most of his set before leaving, as he kicked max out of the headliner since avbs plane had caught fire the week before causing some rescheduling probs|
