I saw a "political analyst" on tv yesterday, who predicted that the US would become much more conservative, and that the alterations of the supreme court would make this change last for about 20-30 years. The "new" America would be a place with much more focus on religious morals. As regards to foreign relations, the surrounding world had so far distinguished between the Bush administration and the US at large. In the future the two would be seen as one, and loathing of the US as a country would be more widespread.

As regards to my own expectations, I think they match BadBadNeils to the letter.

If we become a country which has a lot of focus on religious morals, that will just be plain disgusting. Kinda like Iran, maybe.

It all runs in phases it seems. A few years back a lot of people thought the country was mostly liberal. It just comes in phases. Soon in the future it will look much more liberal, and it will go back to conservative, just phases is all.

+ - + - //..

I for some reason feel that Bush's Anti-Gay Marriage bill will pass. I really hope it doesn't, but I think he plans on trying to get it passed again. He will be doing it for a few reasons I think... Actually, I am going to start a thread on this before I get too in depth, because I am a bit confused on teh matter too...
