Out of respect for Max....I think you should take the mix down Vlad.

:)

once a track its released its public as far as im concerned...i don't mind people using them for their enjoyment.

im falttered this song is liked but ripping it from someone's set to use for your own is rather embarassing for anyone calling themselves a dj i think.

As a matter of fact, I have a better set up than alot of DJs on this site. I just cant use it as readily (This will change next week). Another issue being the affordability of vinyl since I find so much stuff.

And Im not promoting myself in ANY way. If you would have read in the first sets that I put up, this is for listening purposes only. Im not doing this for fame, Im doing this because people love this genre and have a hard time finding it.

whatever mg, its not a big deal , its not like hes selling it on the street and making aprofit out of it! , its just a random set on the net, nothing more ,nothing less. if its gonna affect producers that much then dont produce at all..you know its gonna happen anyways so why even bother..

p.s.: this post is not intended to start a flame in any way. if u proceed to flame me, i will most likely not respond

"its not a big deal" - this is why the music industry is struggling - because EVEYONE thinks "its not a big deal" if I illegally share music

In either case, It's MG ft. Jessica Jacobs.

edit - Max if you read through this again and feel so inclined to check your PMs I would be very appreciative

whos sharing music? its a set!!!!
its not like its a full rip of the song!,u think this industry is struggling because someone put a LIVESET rip of a song in a set? thats ridiculous. this industry is struggling because there isnt enough marketing. period.

Posted by euphoria on Nov-09-2004 18:27:

There is nothing that can be done about this at this point in time. Until someone figures out how to put a stop to sharing music that is fool proof there is nothing you can do but deal with it.

It wasnt meant to be rude, I message Max about this, and he knows I have respect for him. I just didnt expect it to be such a thing.

maxgraham (bored, and now sad in the airport lounge)

yea i agree...especially in mp3 sets

Posted by Vlad on Nov-09-2004 18:39:

This is a dead issue, I changed the track in the mix.

Posted by dj tek on Nov-09-2004 18:39:

using a piece of a live set to include in an mp3 mixed set to be promoted on an internet forum aint cool. also a disrespect to the artist[s] of the track.

gotta agree with this (and rachel).

oh, and i find it ironic to those throwing rocks at vlad when i know for a fact some of you share music (illegally) too. stay consistent peeps.

Well their point isnt the sharing, is me using the unreleased track. But like I said, its a dead issue, I changed the track.

Haha, sorry for laughing but thats just too funny...anyway, who am I to talk I do the same thing. The way I look at it is if a track were available, I'd buy it, but if its not why should I be kept from playing it? I mean, if the chance truly has no chance of being released or its a bootleg to begin with, I don't see anything wrong with playing an MP3. But this track in particular will eventually be released, so its a different story. Sorry for bringing this up again.

Don't worry Max, everyone who DJs is gonna buy the vinyl once its out...MP3s just whet our appetites for the plastic.

Posted by sym on Nov-10-2004 04:59:

I see max's point, but I think as long as the dj isn't profiting from the track in any way shape or form, doesn't it just help the track get promoted by more people hearing it?
