I always thought Occrider was a good choice myself. I'm not sure where that Vesa character has gone but he/she always had a pretty good neutral and objective opinion of things which would make a good choice. But like I said, I haven't seen him/her around in a while so there goes that idea.

I don't know Lira, but I'm sure he'll do just fine. We don't require much babysitting in here.

I think Lira will do fine with respect to censorship. I believe I've seen him respond to some pretty racist/trollish stuff in COR and he he seemed level-headed. I personally wouldn't imagine any mod abuse coming from him, and all you really need in here is a mod to fend off the occasional troll ...

Except for Melech_Mike and Cyrus King ... they've applied for trolling permits and thus can freely troll each other at will .

Just a few questions, if I may, so that we can all understand you a bit better:

1. Why do you hate George Bush so much?

2. Why do you hate John Kerry so much?

3. You don't hate Bush? You don't hate Kerry either, you say? Why are you flip-flopping? Sounds to me like you're a liberal if that's the case. You must be a Democrat then, right?

4. Are you really an "old-skool" as JM states? If so, that implies that you're likely not succeptible to change, because let's face it, TA really hasn't changed much over the years. And that implies that you hold conservative values. So you must be a Republican then, right?

1) Even though his daughter is really really fit and seems to have done some exclusive home video a while back, we can't see it because she's done it all behind the Bush. I reckon this should be between me and his daughter though, and I've got a girlfriend anyway so, nah, I don't hate him.

2) All he's done was convincing some Native American to wave flags near some bridge I cross to go to uni. hmmm.... it was fun. I guess I can't hate him for that, it was so random I liked it.

3) I don't hate them because not only I would have a less objective view on whatever happens, it is also mostly none of my business. Although the country I live in will be affected by the change (or lack thereof), what America decides, America pays for. If I've got to respect my neighbour's decision of buying a car (which he could accidentally slam into my own vehicle), I've got to respect their (your) decision to choose a president as well. In fact, I'm as neutral as a blind man having to choose the shoes his 73 y.o. grandma is going to wear to run some errands.

4) TA hasn't changed much over the years? I'm a lonely acid techno addict among a Prog-loving legion!

Hey, Lira, I must say I think you're a pretty good choice for a mod here. Hopefully you will bring change and monitor this forum from time to time.

Btw, what cartoon was Orco in? I totally remember him, but I can't recal from which cartoon he's coming from.

Oh, yeah, the uber-gay cartoon. Now I remember him being there. But I wasn't a great fan of He-Man in the first place...He-Man. God how lame, wonder who came up with that title.

I'm glad to read that Lira is the new mod here.

Lira- Your are by far the best mod i've seen here, in terms of exercise of power and posts. I just hope you don't stifle expression in here too much, like they do in another forums. Again, congratulations.
