now who's being unsupportive

GO PAUL!!!!!!!!!! if you can stay at your home with your parents for another 15 years i'll give you a candy bar

i don't think people should buy they're releases just for the sake of it, people should buy what they want, and TT should strive to provide everyone with what they want, however, i have not doubt that they will do just that, good luck fella's!

Posted by Sid on Nov-12-2004 08:25:

good luck scottie!

a good start would be to definitely release Adams mix of missing

Posted by starsurfer on Nov-12-2004 08:26:

haha Paulie, Im sure Mangler and REEMO will keep everything in control.

Jace, if you are reading this, can you please email me? I really wanna listen to all your stuff again.

Congatulations guys, good to see some people serious about pushing local talent, one question though, i understand the colour system...

Stasis (Yellow) - Progressive
Cobalt (Blue) - Melodic
Zenith (Red) - Hard

But what colour for turbo trance flappy??

Posted by G`Dave on Nov-12-2004 10:00:

Excellent news!

*and btw, whilst on the topic of Trancetribe, who's an admin for the forums there?*

Posted by Antistatic on Nov-12-2004 10:35:

What about tech-trance?

edit: Or would you just include progressive(ish) tech trance under the prog trance label etc and just match it to similar stuff?

Posted by 00soups00 on Nov-12-2004 10:36:

tech would prolly be RED i reckon

Posted by Antistatic on Nov-12-2004 10:42:

Yeah the hard stuff but not all tech trance is hard. Some of Marco V's stuff would be closer to prog imo.

Posted by Mangler on Nov-12-2004 10:43:

Trance flappies change colour, depending on the season

Posted by gumble on Nov-12-2004 10:43:

i guess it sounds like a good idea.

my thought is that, although its great to put up some new names, would'nt you want a couple more accomplished producers to get it all rolling?

have you guys researched how many records you will have to sell within your first few releases just to make it to the next round?

i see a lot of ambition, not enough foundation.

good luck anyway.

Posted by RobSolaris on Nov-12-2004 11:33:

nice
good work scottie

goodluck with the record label too

Posted by starsurfer on Nov-12-2004 23:15:

hah, those were just examples of the record covers. there WILL be more colours. I didn't put tech or psy in there yet. When I say tech, i am referring to Marco V,

Posted by jizza on Nov-13-2004 01:40:

so are you saying you poached marco v for your label?

Posted by Antistatic on Nov-13-2004 02:03:

No he means Marco V's style when he's referring to tech trance.

edit: I think this is a good idea since at the moment the only Australian 'trance' labels are crappy ones like Bang On!

Posted by starsurfer on Nov-13-2004 02:35:

I cant go saying who we have poached or who we are poaching, but rest assured that its not JUST for local telents.

Tathi, go have a look at some of the biggest trance recording labels, and tell me where most of them are now. THe majority are in dire financial trouble. Now before you insult me and insult my grandparents, do some research and see why my opinion is like that. Im all for starting a label, but to restrict to trance and variations of trance inevitably is asking for trouble, especially when australia has a population of 18 million and has a trance scene very small.

Posted by tathi on Nov-13-2004 23:58:

it's a figure of speech, settle down

Vinyl Warning does very well. They mainly focus on trance and its derivatives.

Paulie, we are aware of the risks associated with this, and we also have a very good team of people working on this. We aren't gonna try to be bigger than our shoes will allow, nor will we make unrealistic decisions or goals.

Thanks for the concern, it's good to know people here genuinly care about it all.

well covers look nice

Posted by Antistatic on Nov-14-2004 09:32:

I think part of the problem that our trance scene is so small is that we don't have any established trance producers here. Maybe if this label takes off this will solve part of the problem.

Time will tell..
