still stand by my post though. In this era of DNA testing and mass surveilance, youd think they could have provided a bit more than a mistress and character flaws.

And well certainly have appeals. Removing jurors is just the first place to begin.

Guilty on both 1st degree murder charges!!! HELL YES!!!

Posted by Scottaculous on Nov-12-2004 21:21:

Instead of a death penalty which can be held up in court of appeals, they should give Peterson a life sentence to a third world country's prison.

Ok here's what I dont understand...

if Laci Peterson had had an abortion.. she wouldn't go to jail, even though she killed her unborn son..

But Scott Peterson gets the 2nd degree murder charge because he killed his unborn son.

Yeah i know, herein lies the controversy surrounding the case, but I just don't see how you can be charged for something that women already do...

I got a better idea, allow the victim's family about 30 mins alone with the scumbag or better yet send him to one of the notorious and often very brutal siberian labour camps.

If he is put to death, he will spend at least 10 yrs on death row in the nut house with people in cells beside him like Richard Ramirez, I believe Charles Manson is in one of this isolation cells. Truly the nuthouse.

I'm just waiting for the often blunt and brutal John Walsh opinion on this trial, we know he tells it like it is.

If you really want to punish him, send him to work in a cocoa plant in Senegal. Slave labor at its worst...

I dont think they should fry him. They shoul.d just let a wolverine at his nads 2wice a day.

i think after the 2nd trimester the fetus is considered a human being which is why you cant have an abortion during that time. im sure someone on here knows more about it than me and could probably explain it better.

Elective induced abortion can be legally obtained in the United States up until the viability of the fetus. That is, until the 24th week of pregnancy. Third trimester abortions are extremely rare in this country, and are performed only for the preservation of the life or health of the pregnant woman.

I see. I thought it might have something to do with the trimestrs.. I wasn't sure.

How far along was Connor?

8 months. A baby can survive outside the mother's womb after twenty weeks (5 months).

finally .. it's about time they have a verdict for this guy.. if people are not familiar with this guy, or are from outside the United States, here's his story :

He, Scott Peterson, has been accused of killing his wife and child. their bodies were found decomposed in the Pacific Ocean. He was arrested in December 2002. During all the deliberations, pretrial hearings, trials, and hearings, we have seen many people speak, evidence come and go, and the woman who Scott Peterson has been pimping with while he was married to Laci (wife of Scott that was killed). the reason why this case is taking a very long time, because the defense is arguing that there is not enough evidence to accuse Scott of the murders.

all the information is here . it has all the news about the case from day 1.

so what do you think? let's here what you think he is? guilty or not guilty?

i saw he is definately guilty.

I don't fucking care and I live a half mile away from where they used to live

This is a sad scenario. Don't lose sight of the fact that we're dealing with human lives here, and not just another number concocted by the media. You all can think whatever you want to, but the fact remains that none of you have evidence of your own that Scott was the killer.

The court can convict him, and that's all well and good, but the court system of California is NOT infallible - people have been wrongly accused and convicted before, why should this be any exception to the odds?

I'm not saying he's not the murderer, I'm just advising some of you to back down on the 'let's torture him' proclivities because you're only making your repressed sadistic tendencies overt to all of us.

I agree... this trial has really blown out of proportion due to excessive media coverage. Think "sensationalizing." I don't understand a double murder case gets some much publicity when there are so much more important news to be reported.

i feel your pain .. your eyes were probably raped everyday by the "in-depth" analysis of the trial everyday on the news .. i totally hated it when they caught that dumbass derrick todd lee -- the "serial rapist" in baton rouge... he raped six women .. what he did was kidnap them, rape them, kill them, and throw their bodies either on the side of the highway, or dump them in the lake. it was horrible. and they declared that mothaf*!@er too inept to stand for a regular trial. they put him in jail though, but what a way to go when you're caught. just remember that if you're caught with murder, just plead insanity, and they'll have leinancy for you and give you less years...

and they raped our eyes with the whole sniper in d.c. case when they found out the guy used to reside in louisiana. that sucked.

You should give a shit, the legal implications of this trial are astounding, not to mention that poor woman and her relatives...

Bahhh who am I kidding, I'm just pissed that they've got cops crawling all over the place and making it damn near impossible to go anywhere.
