is what possible? are you questioning the validity of an empire orbiting a black sun, or that my user name is an acronym for an empire orbiting a black sun?

black sun? black star? since its in reference to the self-luminous star we call the sun, can it be called a sun if it emits no visible light?

i'm not going to spar intellectually with you. if you must really know, and i mean really know why my user name is {b.s.e.} I can tell you: it's a quake 2 clan i belonged to in 2001.

happy? will you be able to sleep now?

to actually scrutinise an acronym is a bit desperate, don't you think?

Posted by ToF on Nov-15-2004 06:01:

is there a reason why you two are argueing over something small and not serious at all like little children?

wtf has computers and the internet done to us

Oh, you mean when you tried to classify my username as scientifically impossible, and i didn't care to argue with you about it.

Definitely. I agree 100%.

I dunno, obviously he is incapable of creative thought.

well, you created an entire thread about it, so I wouldnt exactly say you "care less".

you can complain about redundancy, but what about names that make no sense to the user or anyone else, and are simply used because they sound cool, is that not worse than redundancy?

is that possible?

Yes, actually. When a Star of at least 1.3 solar masses collapses under its own nuclear discordance, a supernova occurs. This is both a similtaneous implosion and explosion that fuses particles together so fast and hot, that it creates every element known to us that is higher than Iron on the Periodic Table. The result of this cataclysm is one of two things:

If the original star was between 1.3 solar masses and under 3.0 solar masses, a Neutron star is formed. It is a super-massive celestial body with very little volume (relatively speaking). The resultant mass is so high that an intense gravitational field is established; one that is so powerful, it bends light reflected onto the Neutron star from nearby luminous stars so that, considering visible light, the star is obscured and would appear black. For this reason, the Russians named this a 'black star' or a 'black sun'

When the original luminous star is over 3.0 solar masses, the resultant supernova creates a disturbance so incredibly hot that it melts into the space-time continuum and establishes a 'tear' in reality. This rip is known as a black hole.

I created a thread about the word 'Trance' in usernames on a forum about trance, not about the people that have taken the time to create something as their own (before you jump on that, let me remind you that i am the creator of the BSE).

Nothing creative can possibly be worse than redundancy.

My nickname has been trancebrat since 1998. It was only fitting to use it on TA as well.

Yeah, this thread went supernova. Since it was obviously over 3.0 flamewar masses, it collapsed upon itself, creating a tear in the Chilloutroom continuum.

I love it.
