there's no or almost no privacy in serious couples.

I give my email passwords to my fiancee so she can check at will, and I do have her passwords or can request them.

we barely ever check the others' emails.

That's exactly what I did. People have even asked me why I have left people's numbers in my phone. Simple...I wouldn't want to answer if certain people called so it helps to have their names in there (or other names for them ) so that I don't accidentally answer their call. Thankfully I haven't had that problem in a while.

Yes it's wrong.

It seems that you two have serious trust issues.

i beg to differ. i am in a serious relationship and my bf and i both respect each others' privacy. he doesn't check my phone, email, etc... and vice versa. i won't even bother to check his phone if it's ringing and he is asleep in the other room unless he asks me to. it's not always about respect, but i believe if you're in a serious relationship, even if you have access to check someone's phone/email/whatever, you shouldn't. it just shows you don't trust them.

my ex used to check my call log on my cell phone, email, AIM, computer files, posts on message boards, etc... i couldn't stand it because it just showed how insecure he was and how little trust he had for me.

there's a difference between being comfortable enough to give your passwords to your significant other, and violating someone's privacy.

me and my boyfriend know all our passwords and everything, but we never pry into eachothers lives because we respect our privacy.

There's obviously going to be some differences between people who have ben together for a longer period of time. As their lives coalesce, 'his' things and 'her' things have a tendency of becoming 'our' things - you will only ever reach this point if you can trust someone for a long period of time, possibly even forever. It's all about intention: if you are searchign through 'her' things or even 'our' things with thoughts of mistrust or jealousy, it probably doesn't feel very good - it shouldn't.

Don't steal teh lettar... but I guess you already did. Seriously man, just forget her no use in getting your panties in a bundle

the reason why its tougher for me is because im in a wheelchair chances of me finding another girl is slim to none, im not trying to say that i was using her because thats all i could get,i wasnt everyone knew we belonged together, it just didnt work out. i depend on my friends to take me out so i can meet new people and theyre always busy. its hard for me to get over her because all i do is sit at home and listen to music, only time i leave is when im doing therapy and stuff like that. i did love her alot and she says she loves me too but i dont know what to believe anymore. we were together for a good 5 months and been having sex on and off before my accident for a few years while she was with her ex

thats what you think.

Why not just pour some acid in your eyes and let it burn?

Why someone would put themselves through this kind of pain deliberately is beyond me. If you like someone the thought of them being with someone else is like having a stake through your heart, however you are bringing this pain upon yourself by looking at her emails.

It sounds like you have been through enough pain and suffering to last a lifetime already and I would suggest that the feeling of not knowing what is going on, as painful as that is, is not bad as knowing what she is getting up to.

I find that it can take a fair amount of time to deal with an ex being with someone else sometimes, so give yourself plenty before you start giving in to your curiosity.

Yes, I think you should do it. It's the stupid thing to do, so it fits you perfectly.

Give the guy a break, he seems like a pretty decent fellow, and he's been through fucking hell.

Mercy, along with pity, is the greatest insult of all.

I don't believe in pity.

I'd like to see you go through a similar situation.

Not being understanding is a pretty big insult in itself.

yahoo passwords are easy to get if you know the person, im over this now she wasnt talking to him when we were going out so it doesnt bother me as much she started talking to him bout 2 weeks ago we've been broken up over a month. shes been calling me alot lately but havent answered the phone. i feel good now and have no problem im just gonna move on and not fall in love again til i know its the right person

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Nov-17-2004 17:37:

Read the statement I quoted above.

This is why you should not even give a fuck about reading her email. She is psycho, she is your ex, you don't want to be with her, so why would you even care?

Posted by samiotis on Nov-17-2004 17:49:

because i dont like being lied to

Posted by Slylee on Nov-17-2004 17:58:

Posted by igottaknow on Nov-17-2004 18:26:

if you had half a brain you would get revenge on her by logging on to her mail account and sending this guy emails. get creative or get lost.
