Take the damn job and DJ their stupid shit. Download mp3's, get two CD players, buy headphone to rca converters at radioshack, and spin with those. Total cost would be like $6 for RS and maybe $30 for CDs.

They couldn't be concerned if you mix or not. For all they care, you could just put in a non-mixed cd and let it be.
Just play mp3's man...get some non-stop cheese albums and let them play. They will cost you what...$30-40?

Take the $600, play the top40 garbage, and put that money towards DJing(in your own style of course), i.e. buy a bunch of vinyls, a cheap cd deck, a 3rd tt, new mixer, etc.
take it and play some ATRC, tiesto (just be album) and do some scratching of "fwoep-fwoep-fwoep-fwoep" , you know the backspinning of a track 
"omfg, he scratches, omfg, that was brilliant, he must be the best dj evar"
just take a ultra dance hit cd, put it in the cd player and come back an hour later and put ultra dance hit cd volume 2 and come back another hour later.. they won't notice
