I'm in a cartoon!

My song 'Ejector Seat' was just used in an AJ Velez cartoon called "The Sketch Boys in El Spam Bandito" you can watch it here. It's hilarious!

New Song - Witches Brew

There's another new song on my soundclick page. It's called "Witches Brew" and it's a sort of musical 'incantation'.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Witches brew was done on real instruments - except for the drums which were played live with a keyboard. It was recorded on reel-to-reel tape.

very cool stuff. the mixes don't sound very clean and punchy, but that could be the bitrate, and i notice they are all from 98. got anything newer?

Thanks! I think you're right about the bitrate. I use the free soundclick service and the max is 128K. I'm afraid I don't have anything newer as the circumstances in my life have kept me away from music since then. Things are changing though - I'll soon be back into composing again.

I like most of the stuff u've done...Anyways.. have u send some of ur stuff to any labels?? What do u play? lead?

I used to be a big metalhead, its nice to listen to powerful intricate riffs once in a while...but not everyday!!!

Yes I play lead, and on those recordings I also played the bass, keyboards, harmonica, and most of the rhythm guitars. To answer the first question, I've tried going that route in the past. It seems that the labels these days only really look at one thing - sales. If you're and indi artist and you've produced a CD that has sold over X number of units then you have a shot with them, otherwise it's "don't call us, we'll call you". So I've decided to go about this in a non-traditional manner. I'm trying to reach as many listeners over the net as possible - make a name for myself. I guess it's a sort of high-tech grass-roots approach. I'll soon be equipt to do some more composing and recording and start releasing some new material which will be available on the net. I'll keep doing it as long as I still love doing it, and people keep listening. If I eventually get a label deal, or a position in a signed band, or a movie soundtrack contract - great, but I'll keep doing it even if I don't.
