Well the anticpiation isnt so much for gettin to play myself but its more that im ready to party with my friends and enjoy all the talented guys performing after me...havent thrown down in a good long while..o yeah and im pumped about the models
Anyone up for a meetup?
I'm uptown NO, about 15 minutes from Twiropa, by the Tulane/Loyola campuses.
You guys will have so much fun with them! Tell Bo and Dom Atlanta says Hello!!
...we Have James Zabelia tonight here
FILO and PERI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man...this is gonna rock. If your a trance addict that lives in Louisiana, I don't care if you have 5 finals on monday....you cannot miss this!!!! I think I'm more pumped about filo and peri than I was for Armin....even though I did catch that bad ass "76 tour" shirt at his show! Props to dreamfactory..this is gonna be the best show of the year.
...I think its gonna be a 3 hour set!!!
C'mon people, tell us poor souls who couldn't make it...
HOW WAS THE SHOW??????????
moi too ..
i live in new orleans, and couldn't make it ..
sucks working weekends ,,, oh well .. pays off in the long run in the future ..
The place was pretty much empty by the time Filo & Peri came on, so they only played for a little over 2 hours. Played a few tracks I've never heard. Had a good vibe although there were only about 6 of us dancing. The entire time I was there, no one was dancing, for any of the DJ's. It was upsetting, just shows how poor the scene is down here. Y'all didn't miss anything special, except some of the banging models. It wasn't F&P's fault, the crowd just blew.
That's a bummer about the low turnout. Was it the venue (House of Blues doesn't scream "EDM!!") or New Orleans?
I saw some NO people in Houston for the Freeland show in October, and my car got flyered for the Halloween Vampire Stripper Sluts from Outer Space show, which looked cool.
apologies, but the scene here is really dead, ever since the raids at the state palace, everything went downhill at a slow pace to now nothing ..
there's a small scene here, but not as big as the mid-size metro areas .. i would compare the new orleans size to cities like tampa, seattle, richmond, and dallas .. and those cities compared to new orleans, new orleans is nothing .. the rap and hip hop scene here is a little bit broader here than the edm scene .. i would say that if one would listen to edm here, it's either pop or breakbeat .. not much of a trance or house scene ..
if you would ask anyone here to name at least 5 djs from the top 20 djmag.com top 100 dj list, they can't do it .. and that list is a "popularity" list damn it .. apologies
check ya pm jeresey
