but newayz, im confused about this ranking system as well, for 8 years running canada has been ranked as the best country in the world to live in by the UN and some other IGOs as well. some other countries to win multiple years before us are sweden, denmark, australia, and the netherlands..and some others i can't rembmer. ireland being voted #1 seems a bit out of the blue...

Canada has not been ranked #1 for years now.

yea i did some looking into it, and you're right, its been top 5 for the past several years, although it slipped to 8th awhile back. i was under the impression that it had done much better, but perhaps those studies were done by other sources. im still shocked bout ireland tho..to not see it anywhere near the top 10 then boom, but then again im not familiar with "the economist"'s previous rankings.
