Where u in front of the camera or in the studio? Everyone is gone now....even Vishanti got her walking papers. Now bpmtv is 85% Euro music and 15% hip pop and crap muzik. pe-u

I was the first host... Caroline.... with the show Caroline (quoting Simpsons "you may remember me from shows like Caroline... and the BPM hot 20 dance chart") LOL!

They were paying me too much. Cinar took the job for about 15 thousand a year less than I was making.

I had no idea! I'm so flattered! It was being in the right place at the right time with that job. Mind you, one door closes and another door opens. I wouldn't have seen John Digweed on my bday in Calgary two years ago.

We need a GOOD viable tv and radio station for EDM in Canada. Just about every other country can do it. Why cant we? BPM started out promising but as stated above it caved into the pressures of the general lack of taste in our society.

I think euro had its height in Europe at about the same it did here.. early to mid 90's, after that it's been downhill and zero quality..
Now it seems that hip hop is the next big thing over there

Martha lets her kids program the channel. Instead of sticking to the "dance" format, they had pink and mary j on. That's much vibe's territory. And unfortunately, there's few North American producers who can afford music videos? I mean, look at the quality of music video production over here. Unless your friends are in the biz and have access, then labels hardly fork over the cash. What does videofact offer? $10gs for a video? Plus, if you do produce a "dance" music video, where's it gonna air? BPM will probably end up losing their licence anyway, because if you look at what they pitched to the CRTC, they're not on format at all. No one wanted to watch line dancing and ballet instruction, so the cable companies and satellite companies wouldn't pick them up... hence the "dance" format.
What to they have, 2 more years to go?

Maybe BPM needs to die and someone should start up a dance station (a real dance station like metrodance buenos aires or RadioFG in Paris) to build up an audience.

Energy 108 was a key element in developing the Canadian dance movement. At first it was great but gradually got cheesier. It played hip hop back then as well but GOOD hiphop as opposed to just the mainstream crapola. We need another Energy 108.

What's weird is that FLOW seems to be playing more house and dance/electronica overall now while Z103.5 is playing more urban hip hop when it's supposed to be the other way around with FLOW playing all urban and Z103.5 playing all dance

What we need is a 24 hour a day CLUB 246 type of station with all house,trance and jungle type of stuff Get Goldfinger,Ken Finch,Manzone&Strong,Addy,Dekoze,OS/2,Mark Oliver,Sean Miller and dj's like that to host some shows and spin

The ginos and homies have their own stations so I think it's our turn to have our own

some euro is good i agree , the but i cant take any overdoses of it, the waybackplaybacks can be sick sometimes
