We need a GOOD viable tv and radio station for EDM in Canada. Just about every other country can do it. Why cant we? BPM started out promising but as stated above it caved into the pressures of the general lack of taste in our society.
feeeeeeeeeeling good feeeeeling good tonighhhhhhhht

I think euro had its height in Europe at about the same it did here.. early to mid 90's, after that it's been downhill and zero quality..
Now it seems that hip hop is the next big thing over there

| Originally posted by muzzybear Martha lets her kids program the channel. Instead of sticking to the "dance" format, they had pink and mary j on. That's much vibe's territory. And unfortunately, there's few North American producers who can afford music videos? I mean, look at the quality of music video production over here. Unless your friends are in the biz and have access, then labels hardly fork over the cash. What does videofact offer? $10gs for a video? Plus, if you do produce a "dance" music video, where's it gonna air? BPM will probably end up losing their licence anyway, because if you look at what they pitched to the CRTC, they're not on format at all. No one wanted to watch line dancing and ballet instruction, so the cable companies and satellite companies wouldn't pick them up... hence the "dance" format. What to they have, 2 more years to go? |
answer to original question:
because the "europeans" here are 3rd generation Canadians...
