This does not suprise me. Smaller towns and villages in Mexico seem to take matters into their own hands. This is mainly because the police there is just as corrupt.

As for Lawler, I too would stay away from that town. This whole thing makes me think I should be armed when I go to Cancun.. damn!

thats awesome. id do the same. kidnap tiesto and make him to ballet on stage for everyone

Bottom line, Mexico is a really screwed up country. I have a friend who lives there and the stories he tells me are nuts. He hates it there.

And yes, the police are corrupt as f*ck there. I doubt any charges would or could be made against those club owners.

I would send an email warning out to anyone who gets booked at that club from here on out.
Makes u wonder if Lawler got paid for his services too...

Told ya!

It WAS that same fool who played after Marco V!!!!

Posted by tatgirl on Nov-24-2004 23:36:

FYI-

Christopher Lawrence, who was scheduled to play at this very same club Dec. 3, has cancelled his gig there.

That'll teach 'em!

HAHA, sweet!!! ******s.

we can't have him potentially getting hurt before he makes it back here

Posted by Special K on Nov-25-2004 01:14:

i doubt that club will ever be able to book anyone again

good job on their part, completely fucking themselves over like that on their first night of business

It's a small world when you think about it. I can't see how anyone in the bus. would not know about this place after the word has been flying around regarding Lawler's incident.

and just what is wrong with freakin mexicans?

actually, the club owner was probably American. i'm not shifting the blame, but it is owned by Spundae, i believe; it's club Space. and the owner was probably one of those coked out business types who wanted the DJ they brought in to satisfy their personal needs and cravings by playing that track. bad business, sure; neglectful, and, really, plain fucking stupid and abusive. but 'freakin mexicans' attended the party and supported Lawler in Mexico City first and then Guadalajara, and it's a shame, really, what the owner did. but he's just one freakin human and not a bunch freakin mexicans who didn't give a shit who was there. believe me, they'd know in that city (and, yes, it's a city; second largest in the country).

they probably can't sue, though, because of the way the laws are set up. it's hard to imagine it ever going through.

question: if this was posted in MD, why bring it here?

Posted by Jayx1 on Nov-25-2004 01:41:

every mexican ive ever met has had the best sense of humour. And the girls are ultra friendly. I like mexico when its full of mexicans and gringo free.

^^ racist

i know what u mean thou, a pure cultural experience would be cool. tourism sorta sucks.

Because there's a lot of Lawler fans here that don't visit the Music Discussion section.
