| Originally posted by DJ Cinos I was out shopping. Bought Trancemaster 1, and Juno Reactor albums Beyond The Infite and Shango, which brings me to my point: Most tracks off BTI are good. Ice Cube, Guardian Angel and Rotorblade are really great. Shango is good too, but to lesser extent. Then there's way too much stuff to mention. I'm not going to bother again. |

Someone recomend me some crazy experimental super-minimal psy track, please. I've decided to stay away from psy ever since i realized the kind of stuff john 00 fleming spins sounded a bit cheesy to my ears (you know, the typical astral projection/astrix/famous producer track with big riffs and dodgy samples from movies or about drugs) so i want to give a chance to the "real" stuff, whatever that may be.
note: i do like some tracks with samples from movies, and yes i was all mad like a year ago about some astral projection track, forget that
I like just as much psy as any other trance
My favorite psy is infected mushroom and hallucinogen.
My other favs are:
Alien Project
Astral Projection
Entheogenic
Future Sound of London
Juno Reactor
Pleiadians
Scatter Brain
Shpongle
Shulman
Sad that noone mentioned psydrop, check out his album "Fantasy Seeds" banging and psychedelic.
Track 2 (Magic Dragon), 3 (Fearing & Loathing) and 4 (Vox Populi) stands out the most. I love Vox, so much energy in it.
Other artists include CPU - Central Processing Unit (Fantastic Album).
Also , if you are up for something mad..
OSOM - Game Over or just check out the compilation called "Zen 2" by Dejavu Records
Well for the past 2-3 years since going to a couple of outdoor earthcore parties ive really spne most of mytime listening to psy.
Current fav's would include
Wizzy Noise - Past 2 albums are fantastic
Atmos- 2nd Brigade - Fav album this year by a mile
First 3 Infected Mushroom albums are classic, recent releases are shite
Also loving Misted Muppet, Lunaspice, Tikal and i could go on for ages.
Son Kite and S-Range were both great live! As a matter of fact, I've only attended psy gigs this year. Next one is Karma 3 with:
- ASTRIX (Hommega, ISR)
- ABSOLUM (3D Vision, FR)
- ELECTRIC UNIVERSE (Spirit Zone, DE)
- THE DELTA (Gravity plus records, DE)
It's gonna be great!
Absolom - In the sphere is a wicked album.
Delta are just totally massive.
Electric universe same.
Asterix are godo too!

The old Astral Projection stuff (pre 2000) is still my fav. psy tunes.. Ambient Galaxy still owns the entire genre
Right now I love:
Astrix - Artcore
(my fav psy producer)
Melicia - Running Out Of Time
Overlap Project - 6th Sense
Can someone recommend other artists with similiar style, I'm fairly new to the genre

Some searching would reveal the fact that TAs aren't as clueless as you think psywise. But ah well:
X-Dream
Misted Muppet
Orion
Simon Posford
Serge Souque
Texas ******t
Haltya
Sirius Isness
Tikal
S.U.N. Project
Boris Blenn
Cosmosis
And some oldschool stuff:
Planet B.E.N.
Doof
Saafi Brothers
Etnica
Man With No Name
Infinity Project
Total Eclipse
Koxbox

Just finished listening to the new 1200 Mics album, and its wack. I speciffically like the tracks The Mayans, Incas And Aztecs, Stoned Henge, and Garden Of Eden. Production wise, compared to the last two, it's up there, but lacking a bit of 'life'. It's a great CD none the less. The last track 1001 Arabian Nights sounds like something off the album Tales Of The Inexpressible or something from Talpa, very nice and slow.

I got a bit of psy.
Juno Reactor - Navras
1200 mics - ecstacy
1200 mics - salvia divinorum
GMS - Blue Pill
Psy is awesome.
