Word.

And the club/rave scene in Cincy is a joke. I don't really go to clubs any more but when I last went out there was one, maybe two places to go to hear EDM.

Columbus was awesome for a bit in the end of 2003 (lots of big trance names, plus some other favorites), but only tiesto and armin were enough to draw in a big crowd. Thus, the promoters skipped town (some got busted under the rave act as well)

I've been to Miami.

Cincy isnt a bad city, but if someone who lives that close to Miami moved to cincinnati you would be ready to blow your brains out within a week. Especially this time of year.

After we got back from South Beach my friends and I couldn't bring ourselves to go to the shitty clubs here for weeks.

yea I was just up in Indiana visiting my sister a week ago, it was like another planet. She likes the simple life and hated it here, so she moved up there when she got married. Anyway, I was going nuts after only being there for 2 days. lol I heard that Bloomington (close to her) has a pretty big party scene because of the IU students, but I doubt it would be anything that I would like, considering the fact that Im used to going to south beach all the time. Im spoiled what can I say...but i never take for granted the fact that i can go to a beautiful beach and some of the hottest night clubs in the country whenever i want.

Ohio sucks cock. Im just here till I get my (free) diploma, then Im moving elsewhere. Loveland is even worse than Columbus, though, so thank god I dont live there. As far as ravers go, Im not even sure theres such a thing anymore, since unsanctioned events have been banned in Ohio for several years. Nowadays, its just house parties, club events, and sanctioned "raves". Every once in awhile, a good old style party pops up, but nowadays, its mostly just high school kids who dont fit the cultural norm looking for something to do. Hmm, on second thought, maybe things havent changed that much [/QUOTE

ya i know i hate that life sucks here and i wish that i was never born here i mean i think for really me and my friend nick and my other friend josh were the first ppl to bring trance, house music to loveland well atleast at my school and now thaty i am out (thank god dont know how i did it i mean i dont even memebr being there half the time) it actally gotten better i found soo many more ppl that love music like i do but of course non where i live. so wtf

Yeah, the midwest college party scene sucks unless you like drunken meatheads spilling their beer all over you while they are trying to hook up with some drunken whore.

South Beach is great for sure. However after spending a week there it was pretty obvious that to live there I would need to learn Spanish. Half the time it was nearly impossible to communicate with the waiters at restauraunts or the clerks at stores. The drug dealer who tried to sell us coke while we were walking to Shadow Lounge spoke perfect english though.

most of the people in miami are in fact hispanic, you're right. but if you're gonna live in south beach, you should at least do it the right way, and only consider it if you have a shit load of money and can afford the high rise condo's, which start at 700k...that's for the crappy first floor ones with no view. lol so if you have that kind of money, you go to the best places (obviously) and don't really have to deal with that shit. i actually live in ft. lauderdale which is about a half hour drive north, and it's much more tame and english speaking than miami, but it has a lot of nice upper class areas w/ great shopping and restaurants and beaches too...it's just not as "24-7" as miami. the club scene isn't as good either...there are more bars and lounges than clubs.

Can't blame your mom. I would've moved too, but broke so that's why I was living in an old farmhouse with no plumbing and a fireplace for heat. Neat part was driving down the roads with snow plowed higher than the roof of your car, kinda like tunnel vision. I remember the landlord's son getting mad because I sawed down a big tree in the front yard for firewood (it was dead anyhow) and I ran him off with a .357 magnum. Hell, I couldn't get to the woods out back because the snow was too deep.

Newport here, a stone's throw from the Cinasty. Not much of a scene around here though, it's pretty much dry.
