yeh, i agree, i meant more along the lines that, its pretty hard to top the set he performed in march, sept and icon were great tho, just not on that level, not a letdown, just not as epic, for me anyways...

Actually...I'm probably going to prob some of you for questions to ask him if this comes through. I'm hoping to touch on the emergence of Trance in the US. I'd also like to ask him about his thoughts on playing smaller gigs like Amp, as opposed to places like Sensation or Homelands.

But thanks Matt! I'll definitely keep you and your sis posted. We should def. meet up before the show though. I'm taking that night off work.

Ugh, I'm working now and I'll I want to do is write about nightlife, but I'm stuck doing sports tonight. Blah!!!

give him some tough questions too, ask him if he likes the direction trance is going in(and his sound for that matter), and why has his sound changed over the last few years...

I'm with Mattivi on this. We should take advantage of your interview to get a little deeper, his were good ones. One that springs to my mind is whether top DJ's like Tiesto go to whoever pays them the fee, or do they also seek new venues to help built new markets? And how can areas like Tampa grow and cultivate a trance scene?

Too right! I'll be getting ready right after my workout that night and I'm bringing a friend to her very first trance show ever, but yeah, I'll ping your cell that evening to see what your itinerary is.

I just thought of something...I hope the dance floor isnt rotating

Not going. I have two excruciatingly hard exams the next day, the last thing I need is to make the drive, be not sober, and then have those exams the next day. Sorry, it's a no can do. Have fun without me guys.

I might be able to help with this one. I know the mechanic for most of Ybor including Amp. I'll suggest it to him, worth a shot anyways.

I mentioned that to them for both of Sasha's shows and for Oakey's show and apparently Santoro thinks it's one of those elements that makes the club what it is. It's outdated and it's always been annoying. What big named DJ wants to watch people go around and around in circles? I would think that it would create a challenge maintaining DJ/fan interaction. yes, but atthe last party (I think it was Baby Ann) Some dude on crutches fell right on his face on the rotating dance floor. Plus it might just be out of order.....

i say keep the rotating dance floor,.. people know the club b/c of teh floor,... and its not that bad,... ive always had fun at that club,.... such random no name nights turned out fun,...(my friend mr. alcohol helped) but still its fun to go round and round

I heard that they changed the upstairs. Anyone been there recently?

I was there a couple weeks ago, when they were in the middle of working on it...its not changed much from what I could see...there is glass over the railing on half of the upstairs like in Lotus, and I think the seating area is bigger.

And Brent, the rotating dance floor is a pain in the ass during big shows.
