Technics are built like f'ing tanks. They will last forever (unless you treat them like shit) I bought the SL-1200MK5's a while ago and am loving them. The bar I play at has some 1200MK2's that have been a bit abused, but still work great. The Numark's are nice, my first set was Numark, but Technics is #1 for a reason.

I like the TTX1s fine.

Well if you see/notice the delay in the platter... well, as you said I don't notice it either. I was thinking, if he heard the delay, then the output format would matter.

And dj darroch, TTX's BPM reader sucks very badly.
For me the only use of the display is to know which pitch range I'm using, which I hardly change anyway.

Thanks for the replies, i know i dont really need a bpm lcd screen because that would jus make it harder for me to beatmatch as i've heard its not all that accuarate.

Your opnions & other peoples revies on the mk5g have left me swaying towards buying them with xmas & some other money lying about.

At first i thought, i would like to have more torque just to start, que records easier but that doesnt really matter. I'm quite surprised also to read that my tt200's have more toque than mk5gs! I fot they had less but obv not.

I got to admit the mk5g do look much sexier & sleeker than the ttx1's
