i first heard out of the blue on trancexperience cd which was m first trance cd (and unfortunately got stolen by some fukker in Croatia this past summer)anyways, i really like out of the blue....great tune...

Gouryella by far is the better track, and also one of my all time favourites.

Just because a song is hugely popular doesnt automatically deserve the label 'cheese' placed upon it.

Out Of The Blue is a song that defines this genre.....the epitome of trance.

Well it wouldn't be 'out of the blue' anyway ... I love Ferry Corsten but I reckon that song SUCKS!! I remember the first ever trance CD I bought was Trance Nation 1, I thought just about every track was brilliant except for bloody 'out of the blue', I always used to skip past that track when I played it. I couldn't believe it when I bought TN 2 and that even-more-shite '5 AM' mix was on it it just sounds like the original version being played underwater. And then when I started hanging out on trance web sites and realized how everyone thought it was a classic ... I have listened to it lots of times and tried to appreciate what it is y'all see in it, but it does absolutely nothing for me.

So I guess my vote goes to Gouryella

Couldn't agree more..

My vote goes for Out Of The Blue. Gouryella is a great, great tune, but IMHO not near Out Of The Blue which I consider one of the best.

I think the beat and buildups of Gouryella are better,
but the melody can't beat Out of the blue...
The first time I heard Gouryella, I thought it was Out of the blue, but it didn't sound quite right, they sound very similar

Thank you very much. Although I would say "For an Angel" defines this genre.....the epitome of trance, "Out of the Blue" is not cheese. I like it more than "Gouryella" because it soars higher.

Is this possible I thought out of the blue was uncomparable with any other trance track. It's like saying what do you like best: pizza or margharita, trance or system f. The one is a definition the other an amazing follow up. Out of the blue revolutionized the genre for f.. sake. If there is a heaven I'm sure that's what they are listening right now.

It was already explained to me that Out of the Blue came out before Gouryella after that coment, but either way it didn't do nearly the same thing that Gouryella did to me. The first time I heard Gouryella was one of the first times I ever cried to trance. Out of the Blue although it IS a classic isn't even in my top 50 trance tunes! And no, it's not the reason we all know who Ferry is, maybe it's the first tune that gave him 'commercial' fame, but he's done LOTS better quality tunes imo (like Gouryella for one!)...
