Finally after 19 hours of non stop music by some of the world's renown DJs we conclude Winter Edition Airborne day 1. Day 2 will start in a couple of hours!!

Thanks to RayRay...mr genious. ASL Airborne wasn't too big this winter Due to Buffer/Skip

RayRay **Tried** to successfully stream from a 333mhz computer running: ******WINDOWS XP******** <--that is what caused skippage and buffer.

I give him credit for trying, but XP on a 333mhz is not the way to go.

Also...I did offer him to stream off of my Fedora 2 box (xp 2100+ 512mb DDR RAM 512k UP) but infact he did decline.

I hope you all had a good 2 days listening to what happens when you have a vinyl thats been warped with a tube bender, and then trying to play it with your turntable.

i just want to point out that you sound bitter.

i also want to say despite some of the skips and stoppages, i still enjoyed some of the sets played during saturday afternoon. i tuned in for a good 3 hours and more while i waited to see john askew at a local club the same night. props to everyone who organized it and contributed to it.

Yes, the sets were good, but listening to several Buffer and sometimes no music to wait for the next set. makes tired...

The idea of the festival is really great, but the organisation and how it works... so sad...

ASL had in the past killed some sets of other artists, so a lot of people are a little bit angry of this station....

The festival thing is good when done by the right people, ones who have both the equipment and knowledge to make it run, TAW do so, Di.fm do so and I believe Trancespheres worked well also. The problem here is that ASL is not in the class of them, either in resources or ownership and it showed bigtime, trying to copy everyone elses ideas of festivals or re-running shows, legally or illegally is not classy at all, and it's shown them up this weekend imho.

Trance-Inc also have got to take a close look at who they partner up with in cases such as this. The sad thing is the people who really lost out were both the DJs who had contributed sets and put the trust into the station to run it smoothly and the people who had patience to try & listen to as much as possible.

I think it was a good festival despite technical problems,
it was all up to 1 person to run, so it's something to praise.

He had much help from his friends e-plutonia/dj plasma...he bought him a 100mbit server for $16...which also went to waste. He basically provided him with all of his server except the broadcasting server. So Yes, he did have much help.

trying to bring things to help the community all i can see here is bashing bashing bashing....when you guys are downloading and not a single thank you..so what gives...yes its true this is my second time trying to run a show with help from DJ Plasma so what?? As for Ken Allen, what you do not know and what you cannot see please don't make shit up! You were block and ban by me becuz of ur rep. If you respect people people will respect you but being a kid to earn a respect is all about hard work. So shut your mouth for god sake!!

Anyway for those who enjoy the much buffering show I thank you for your support. Its good to know that there are people out there that appreciate the little things I try to do and thank you for all the DJs and sorry to those who got their set buffer or cut out or whatever the fuck happen.

Downloads will be available soon, and hopefully people will at least appreciate this...

Lastly, $$ is what other stations has, ASL is own by a single person with no donations, nor help or sponsors....why don't you try running a show that is buffer free with ur own money and for that I give you respect!!

rayray, thanks for the 2 days of great livesets. please know i'm not the only one who is thankful, there are others more mature then these people that feel the same way

There are allways two sides. one from the customer and your side..

so if you don�t listen to the customer than your buisiness will die.....

here were only listeners, but if you offer bad service, no one likes the station and would coming back..

and.......... the DJs they give you the Sets might be also not lucky ... the image of them could be changing...

Its nice that you had done this festival on your own, but.. I would do anything, if everything is not o.k.!!!

I hope you get the point of it, my english is not perfect to descripe it..

I totally understand your point from a business point of view, but free = not business I am not running a business I am running a hobby here. And yes i am terrbily sorry to the DJs and that i would sincere apologize to each and every DJs...

All the DJs that participate on ASL and Trance Inc Winter Edition Airborne, I hereby sincere apologize for everything that happen. If there are anything that I can do to make things better please do tell me and I will at my best ability to do it. Again my and ASL sincere apologize and I would like to apologize to Trance Inc. too. Trance Inc. is not at fault on this, cuz the radio belongs to me and thats absolutely no fault at Trance Inc. except me and ASL radio!


tnt_, I totaly agree what you saying...dont like dont listen but it was totally my server/radio fault over the weekend and I was feeling grumpy and shit for not sleeping for two days trying to run something free for people in this Trance community. Anyway bash away if u want and I will try to improve on the server and radio with my OWN MONEY and share something or some sorta festivals again!!

Rayray...On the next event, I really suggest you look ahead and look into some problems that could happen during the event and get backups for those problems. (Good Backups)

Yeah? What about my rep. ?? It's all shit. DJ PLasma is an ass and makes anything possible up to make people think he indeed owns the world. But no, all I see him as, is a lying sack of shit who sits on his ass all day doing absolutly nothing but lying to more assholes who sit on there assholes and do the same thing he does all day.

He's a 16 yr old 'trying' to run a big buisiness. And BTW I basically started his buisiness . Everything he has told you about me is a lie I guarentee it. He tries to get along with me and for about a week he gets along fine with me, then I say a sentance with 'bandwidth' in it, and he turns into satan ( <---that smiley). Then a few days later he comes back and tries to apologise and trys to get me unblocked.

I've ran a few radios and I know it is hard work, but I have yet to expericance a "power surge" on any of my computers and have yet to upset people with the music I play or experiance skipping or buffer. I think inhead at problems that may come in the future and I am prepared for any of those problems.
