Ferry Corsten's mix is amazing, Tiesto's mix bites and I hate it.

imo, you can't beat the original .. awesome at it's best ..
william orbit's edit : very good. good musical effect representation of what samuel barber was trying to display.
ferry's remix : trance classic. hands down.
"tiesto's" edit : i am not going to argue if it is a remix or his edit .. but i sense that tiesto tried to make it a "dark" track with the effects and the bass beat .. didn't work for me .. sorry .. i like tiesto's works, but not this one.
tiestos must be one of the worst tunes this year

Tiesto's mix kicks a lot more and has more energy, but it is a bit weak to be honest. Ferry's mix is much more euphoric and engaging, but it is extremely unoriginal, and I get bored of it before many listens. The original is very good to chill to, and sounds epic and melancholy at the same time, but mostly it just gets played by a string section which gets boring after 9 minutes.
+1 true
Think half the people saying original mix mean The Ferry Corsten mix cause the orginal aint trance. Anyway I like Tiesto version(Nice with a bit of base)But will never ever beat Ferry's mix, Tiesto mix is just another trance tune nothing special(but still awsome)Ferry's will always be the one, his best remix to date, and thats saying something as he has millions of amazing ones, a very special piece of trance there and that is F.A.C.T

my opinion (like someone gives a shit)
01. Original + Will Orbit Remake
02. Delerium Remake
03. Skip Raiders Remake
--------------------------------
and then we have the rest which is as good/sucky
ferry corsten remix (of w.o. remake)
minimalistix remake
brainbug remix (of s.r. remake)
ad 2000 remix (or s.r. remake)
-------------------------------------
and then we have the really bad ones:
mat silver & tony burt mix/remale
tiesto remake
--------------------------------------
but no, the king of the worst version ever done of samuel barber's adagio for strings is
ATB Remix
there is no words to describe how lousy and halfarsed (if it's even halfarsed) this version is, it makes me want to think that ian van dahl and flip & fill would have done a better version of it.
don't like the tiesto remix or any of tiesto trax/remixes lately...
i liked his older stuff before he really blew up
I like it a lot.
i dont like tiesto version
tiesto remix/remake/edit/whatever was ok... but just ok
the ferry corsten remix was kick ass. have it on vinyl
the original is an amazing classical peice, but obviously not dance floor worthy
I liked the ferry remix...but gets old after a while.
I never really liked the tiesto remix. I try not to look stupid by just standing there when i hear it live, but then i think, f*ck you all, it's awful and i stand by my oppinion

Tiesto Remix blows them all away by miles....
Wait till you hear it live you wankers
lol i think you ppl are afraid to say that you like a tiesto track.... (nothing to do with adagio just something i noticed) pathetic
The Original is an awesome awesome piece of music.
The Tiesto remix is decent. Its not shit
Awesome tune. I first heard it on tiesto's dancevalley uh 03 i think. Ive used that tune to sway a few people to trance, everyone seems to liek it. The track is on the stupid radio now, seems its becoming a very commercial tune.
It ****ing KILLS the dancefloor. ****ing KILLS. I also think it captures the dark undertone of Barber's original better than Orbit or Corsten.
That being said, I'm not a large fan of ANY of those remixes.
