PvD rOx

hi ....
the best set of PVD was at city studio, kamala mills for sure,
we all drove down 800 kms from hyderabad to see him and it was awesome....
luckily got to stand in the first row....
if someone took more pics ....

watch out for James Zabiela...
and waitig for Digweed to come to india.

And yes people in the front were singing along wen PvD had the fader down and he put the fader back on the bar ..... so it was not like he lost it with the crowd .... i think he enjoyed more than he does at the loveparade, mayday, etc.

If someone can read his fingers .... it moreover looks like he is a top keyboard maestr as well.for every tune .... he does the notes.looks really good.

anyway im in delhi now chilling ....u still in bombay...real jealous of all u guyswho saw pvd..though it seems liek he went back in time with his tracklist....hes realyl been spinning different stuff in his newer sets but i guess he figured hed go with that the crowd would be able to identify ....

anyway man im back on this forum but hardly postm uch ...only for special events liek this ...othrwsie wastre of time !!!

in simple words....
Final Scratch records are digital ones where MP3 or AIFF files can be mapped from computer/notebook,
so u dont need to change those records.
2 records and any number of songs.
its like u spinning Mp3/AIFF on Vinyls.
my friend/guru Teja is using it since 3 years.
PvD started one year back.

have felt that punch missing in pvd's 2004 sets..nothng liek the energy 2003 set or the lovepaprade from 2002..that was fuckin out of this world and it still is...

i shd have been there...i would id his set from strt to fnish since i didnt have much trouble doing thaat even at his roxy gigs...though with him playing 60--70 sgons..it 0does get hard ot keep track

Don't remember much since its been a while, and I've been getting fried in Goa for the most part since then, but I'm pretty sure the tunes that you're mentioning were'nt played. Lotsa old classics were'nt there as well. But I do remember that he pretty much whored out most of the tracks from 'Reflections' . The tracklists that have been put up are pretty good so far. Speaking of which, I'm gonna take on one in particular since it's been specifically mentioned. PVD's remix of 'Beautiful Things' was......bloody.......awful ! Just 'coz there may have been only a dozen or so of us who recognised the song or may like the original version does not make it 'cool' all of a sudden. PVD is great at what he does best......(hold your breath!)....spin trance! His attempts at proggy/house/down-tempo, etc. are average at best. Having said that, this really was a good set. Better than good. Definitely way better than his show at Famous Studios the last time round. But was this his 'best' show??!!!??

.............Not by a friggin' LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot!



Side note:- I'm all for DJ's using technology in any way shape or form that they think will help them put on a better show - but for fucks sake - don't toss away the vinyls! Half the paople on this board can, with practice, learn how to use Final Scratch or use a CD mixer or whatever. Not many can throw down on the 1's and 2's.

LordTranceaLaut all good tracks but paul just stuck to his own productions mostly...coz everyone knows em i suppose....ne ways about what Buddhistics said..

well we ALL know that paul is the GOD of mixing... may it be VINYLS or Final Scratch!!! hes still mixing two tracks isnt he. its like how sasha only mixes on cds now... guess once ur done playin every country there is to play... u dont wanna carry 400 to 500 vinyls everywhere. ne ways... vinyl is vinyl.. and that will never go! its the the dj standard everywhere... but its not like paul is a newbie..
lol.. give him vinyls n hell still kick ass!!! hell yeah 2 that! thats why hes no # 2 in dj mag and no # 1 BPM mag!!!
