I would love to be there for the Mark Oliver way back play backs but I'm taking the night off If it was any other night I would so be there Post some reviews so we can know how it went Mark still rocks!!!!

I will get my Mark Oliver fix tonight Tommorrow is Tiesto time so I will see both this weekend I can't go wrong with Mark Oliver on Friday and Tiesto on Saturday

no doubt this night will be incredible...but I can't pass up a 6 hour Tiesto set that is also NOT at Guv...last time was a nightmare.

I will most certainly be getting my Mark Oliver fix on NYE though...and I trust that he's also going to treat us to one hell of a fun time

Yeah time off sucks ass Everyone from VIVA seemed to be at PULSE for their one year anniversary party where people got in for free but Mark still played alright although I wished he played some harder stuff but oh well I forgive him Mark Oliver did play the best mix I have ever heard of "murder was the bass" though

As for Lil Bad Ass Play some harder stuff that people can actually dance to next time VIVA IS NOT A HOUSE CLUB, IT'S A TRANCE CLUB AND IF YOU ARE GONNA PLAY HOUSE THEN PLAY SOME HARDER HOUSE!!!!!!!!

Dude, I've been to Viva 3 times in the last month and a bit, and EVERY time it's been all house music... I went there being told "Oh yeah, it's a trance club" and here I am 3 times having to sit through house, and hearing the same thing from you... have they turned to the dark side?

ahahahahah.... well viva is deffinatly going through a change but thats a good thing. If you hold on to the same thing every night for years and years eventually the club loses it's appeal and people move on. Slowly reinventing something ensures that it stays fresh.

Edit: i wish i was at guv right now but sadly quiznos calls early in the morning. I had to settle for making it an early night by taking a hot girl out on the town instead...

whoa is me... LOL

I know Mark Oliver will be playing solo a lot for the next little while so it's all good.

Yes, the dark side... every EDM club and their grandmother is playing house these days. Why not have a couple of DJ's each playing a different genre? Why must they have 3 house DJs lined up every night? Where are the chooooooooooooonz? I'd sit through 4 or 5 hours of hell if I got to finish off the night listening to some trance... but noo, it's all "House all night long!!!!!111oneoneeleven" these days like it's something to be proud of.

Well let me tell you that trance is fusing more and more with house and techno so what may be trance may sound more like tech house to you.

Also i respect a DJ who can play ALL genres in a night and still make it work. Im not a big fan of any DJ who plays the same sound for the entire night.

Well when I go to VIVA I expect to hear TRANCE!!!! If I wanna hear house then I will go to COMFORT ZONE,FILM,SYSTEM ect. For the most part I do hear mostly trance being played at VIVA with the exception of Lil Bad Asses sets which are mostly house and I don't know why VIVA would even go out and book a DJ who is known as a house DJ as one of their residents when VIVA is known as a TRANCE CLUB!!! Lil Bad Ass is a really good DJ for PULSE,COMFORT ZONE,SYSTEM and FILM setting but he doesn't have the "VIVA" sound in my opinion because he plays house and even though it is usually good house I still don't expect to hear house at VIVA

DJ Eddy and Mark Oliver play trance and they can play all the different types of trance they want as long as it is still trance and throw in some techno too for all I care but the house stuff is not cool because VIVA will always be a TRANCE CLUB to me and thats how it should be VIVA is one of the few trance clubs remaining and I want it to have TRANCE,TRANCE,TRANCE and some more TRANCE!!!!!!!

Actually its my opinion that the night should start off with house at least till 1 am. Maybe 3am is a little too late but when the place is just filling up (or empty) i dont need my ears to bleed.

I agree, House is a great warmup for some MUSIC. I think even *I* would get tired of 9 hours of trance... but please... a TRANCE CLUB should have some TRANCE at SOMETIME in the night. Even if it's just 3 or 4 hours, then back to house, I don't care... I want TUNEZ! Actually, in all honesty, as long as there's some sick synth to get me movin, I don't care what genre it is, but as far as I can tell, house is mostly just beats... which spells "Warm up" in my world.

Go with some hard house till 1 am but any house past 1am in an outrage If it's too loud then you're too old and should go to DEVIL's MARTINI or SHMOOZE if you can't handle the loud music and have bleeding ears. Look into getting a hearing aid too if you have ear problems
