we all think we know question #2 from the Negotiator...

Sam L. Jackson (Lt. Danny Roman) is asking J.T. Walsh (Insp. Terence Neibaum) [also in ...Needful Things, Outbreak, Blue Chips, A Few Good Men] up in his corner office asking him a question at gun point and then refers to how he knows that when a person looks up and to the left they are accessing their memory lobe of their brain and when they look up and to the right they are accessign their creative frontal lobe of the brain,...

as far as me knowing any sort of answer i have no idea on any of these,.. i just remember this movie

although with the balls i want to say 1/2 but thats my shot in dark guess

Remeber you take out a white ball, and there is one in before. So basicly it doesn't come into it. So therefore there is a 50/50 of either a red or white ball being put in and remaining.

The ball question i thought about this now.

There is one white ball already in the bag.
You'd take a red or a white ball and put it in the bag, here comes the chance factor. You don't know which ball you took, and it can be 50% from here.

Then you have a bag with 2 balls , one with a white one and one with a ball with a color that can be red or white. You'd take out a white one.

Now lets say you took out the white one that was already in it. Now it can be 50% red or white. Now lets say you had 2 white balls in the bag, there is a 100% chance of picking out a white now, but you don't know this info. So the other ball can be red and thats still 50%.

so am guessing 1/2

With the bike question...
It says the bike is turning, so the front wheel will travel in an arched motion but the back wheel will get from A to B in a straighter line so will travel a shorter distance. If you imagine sitting on your bike without moving, and putting the wheel at a near 90 degree angle and then start to move, you will see that the front wheel does most of the movement but the back hardly turns. Imo this is the same principle.

My answer is 1/2. Going on the picture that somone posted above, if you remove one of the white balls from each combination, then there are two left, 1 of which are white, and one of which is red. does my reasoning make sense?

That question is worded a little tricky, but my interpretation of it is 1/2.

Either my answers are revolutionary and far ahead of all of the rest of you or I suck at science. I am going with the second.

Black and White ARE NOT colours.

Opps about the bike question I for some reson thought the bike was turned upside down with the wheels in the air and you were spinning it with your hands..... dunno why. It'll be the back cos it's the driving wheel and will slip quite a bit, the front will just roll along. So the back will do more revolytions for a given jounrney and thus travel more.

Black absorbs light, not color, and white reflects light.
Physically, black is a combination the three primary colors, red, blue, and yellow, and is still considered a color, but white is nothing. With light, like what's being projected on your computer monitor, it is the opposite.

erm...nup, the opposite.

white is a combination of all the colours. which is why if you shine white light through a prism, you get a rainbow.

black is the absence of colour. which is why, if you shine a black light through a prism, you won't see anything.

the bike question, the front one will spin faster because the back wheel is the one that's attached to the chain and, therefore, the one that needs more force.

the swimmer question, he'd probably swim faster. the water really isn't that hot, but in fact, at body temperature. it's the average temperature of an olympic-sized pool, so i'd go with faster.

Yes, when dealing with light, like I also said. But try mixing red, yellow and blue paint together and coming out with white.

Right. I don't know if this has been explained. Colored light is light that has been passed through a filter. Red light is a light that has been passed through a filter that filters everything except red. Paint, or color on an object is the opposite. It reflects light. Red paint absorbs all colors but red, it reflects red light and therefore that is what you see.

Light - All colors together = white, all colors filtered = black
Paint, etc - All colors absorbed = black, all colors reflected = white

yes true, but each color has this opposite color that can make it white.

Complimentaire kleur (color) called in dutch. I believe Red was green? and bleu has yellow. and vica versa of cource.

if you put these 2 colors together on a cd or something and spin it really fast, youl will see with your eyes during the spinning that the 2 colors will turn white. If you stop you will see the 2 colors again.

1. The tone will be lower.(educated guess)
2. To focus better. (focusing is required to tell a lie or avoid a question.)
3. He won't make the finish.(He'll overheat before he can get too far.)
4. No clue.
5. They both spin equally hard.(If one spun faster than the other, u wouldnt be able to go very fast, with one wheel contradicting the other)
6. 2/3(u have on already in there. u add in a red or white one. then take one ball out. 2 white balls to 1 red. i may be wrong.)
7. To stay in balance.(their legs are disproportional to the rest of their bodies making it awkward to walk.)
