even if i work at ARIA full time.. i go out sometimes 5 days a week

i go out in afterhours sometimes from the beggining to the ned of the night

its been more then 9 months i did take any kind of energy boost or drugs or stuff like that

not even a joint of a cigarrette

not here to prove myself.. but im letting you guys know that Montrealers are not THAT fucked up

at least me... the rest of the town can do what they want

It's called the RAVE PROTOCAL, that won't allow us to have large scale events on massive venues on City Owned Properity. And all those convention centres are owned by the city.

They don't care if your event can pull 1 million ppl, if you don't have enuff fundings to hire the amount of PODs that the protocal states they won't allow it.

It use to be 1 for everyone 500, now I heard it's 1 for every 25.

*EDIT* forgot to mention this section of the protocal, your event must end at 3am, so the cleaning crew can clean up by 6am ... you must have your shit taken out and the venue must be 100% cleaned by 6am.

If ayone can afford this ... you can trust me on this fact.

We can fill the BLC on CNE grounds with 15,000ppl. Ppl who don't even party anymore will come out for a huge event at the CNE, regardless if the DJ line up is so so ... it's the old skool days of 1999

All thanks to Sandra Puppatello. I hate that woman. I have a really long story on the intricate details of how the whole media political frenzy in Toronto went down. Sandra Pupatello and a really crappy hole in the "wall" club in Windsor were the starting points for her one woman crusade which basically changed the face of the party scene in this country. I'll describe more tomorrow when im not so tired

Ughhhh I remember that woman... my friend owned the Amsterdam Lounge, and I would come down back in 2000-01 all the time so I'm familiar with her. There was this young guy, claimed to write for the local paper.. was always digging for info on the "scene".. wierd times.

I avoided the downtown club that you mean.. I forget the name.. but it was like having the Comfort Zone in a small town... Solid black windows, open 24/7 .. biggest heatscore ever.

I still have my Pete Houle Mix lol.

From what I heard from Micheal, the protocal has been changed a few times and no one cares to update the public anymore.

To make things worse ... CNE has made their own protocal and rules about venue rentals impossible for events!

It was called the "underground". It was underneath JC moon's on Walker rd. Biggest dump ever and Sandra Pupatello based all her ideas on "raves" from this one little place that held 100 people at most. Imagine that would be like going to Spin Cat and then proceeding to try and shut down Yorkville based on your findings. She is one truely misinformed woman. This is the incident that caused me to start questioning what politicians do and how the media presents issues. SARs confirmed my suspicions even moreso.

Louis, i dont think you have to go to such lengths to defend the people of Montreal. The group we had go down there for the Labour Day weekend were treated fabulous by everyone in the city. But even with that being said there is no denying the fact that there is a huge drug presence in the afterhours scene in MTL. If there werent drugs, the scene wouldnt be what it is today. But its not just MTL im talking about, its apparent in Toronto as well - its foolish to think otherwise.

But even with that being said, all the drugs in the world cannot support or build a scene like you guys have built up there. The passion for the music, culture, and afterhours scene is embrased far more in Montreal than it is in TO. Both cities have so much to offer, and i cant wait to get back there. (likely for BEB)

I agree with Floorwhore, the afterhours scene in MTL is very heavily centered on drug use, especially amphetamines of different sorts. My guess is that MTL is able to have their afterhours clubs open later than here in Toronto for example and close much later too.

This is not to say Toronto doesn't abuse the same types of drugs or whatever because a lot people do, it's just the mentality of partying here is significantly different than what it is in Montr�al.

And Louis, you are right, not everyone is messed up but I guess when people that are not from MTL go to party there, they notice things that you are accustomed to already? It's all good tho, smoking a j on the street is commonplace there whereas it's much more low key here...
