"gino concentration: 35%-40%"
Glad i didnt go, i expected that figure above. Plus the "pop trance" crowd. Also, most tunes were expected just as i thought, plus paying 50-60 bucks when i can go enjoy more talented djs for 20...

I am sitting here crying because I wanted to go to that SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO badly! I hate being just shy of 19! It sucks!
Anyway, my ex just called me and went on for about a half hour telling me how awesome it was. Apparently he made it into the VIP area.
Argh!! I really wish that I could have went. I am for damn sure going to be there for my Birthday. There better be something good goin' on then!

I know im gonna piss off a lot of people with this comment, but last night was a dissapointment to me.
Tiesto played way too much dark/hard stuff that i didnt like, or really care for. first 2 hours there was nothing that really stood out for me other then ridge walkers.
then he started playing his own stuff. that was great. breda 4pm + heroes + love comes again + lethal industry + traffic. i think that was one of the highlites for the crowd. i also couldnt believe that he dropped voyage, and duende [signum remix], def 2 best songs for me.
the club was like every other time when a big dj comes, overcrowded, but not as bad as some guv nights. atmosphere was pretty good, not too many whistleres thank god.
overall, i have to give the night a 7/10, he was def into it this time, unlike back in june, but me and my friends werent.
PS. does anyone know the name of the track after just be?? great uplifting tune.
Pretty fun soire ;-)
Well I'm glad that I did a couple of smart things...1) I bought my ticket far in advance.I heard that they we're being scalped for up to $200
is that true? and 2) I got there at 9:30 to avoid a long line AND to avoid the bullshit coatcheck fiasco. The line up for the coatcheck at that time was way smaller & I got my coatchecked in like 20 minutes.Any future big event like this & the Docks will have to improve on this...I mean I knew it was gonna be fucked up when all I saw we're 2
people checkin the coats...very dumb
I ran into alot of TAs like Nat, Graham, Frank, and so many others that I forgot all your TA names...sorry about that
and I ran into other familiar faces that I had not seen in a while..
Sean miller was really good to warm up the crowd. Most of the TAs we're waiting for a glimpse of Tiesto goin up to the DJ Booth but security drew that black curtain & we didn't get to see the GOD himself...oh well...Personally I thought Tiesto played an ok set with a couple of tracks that I loved and I danced a wee bit.Desidel pretty much wrote what I thought of his set so I won't go any further then that...
One thing that I noticed as SOON as I walked in was that dumbass raised platform in the middle of the dance floor...who the fucks brainstorm was that???....for future refenrence people...do NOT block the dancefloor when you KNOW you are gonna have TONS of people in one small space...
As for the crowds...well...Jayx1 asked why we complain that the Guv gets so rammed but yet at the Docks last nite, we shouldn't complain.I didn't mind it at all because the Docks has room on the outer edges/corners even in the main room and the Guv doesn't.ALso the air at the Guv gets SOO thick and yet the Docks was not that bad I guess because it has more doors/windows hence better air circulation...Yes it was a bit tricky to get through the crowds but ya gotta be polite for one thing (patting on the back, etc...) and I generally go through the middle of the club instead of the edges like near the bar area (THAT was SO rammed).I walked around alot last nite & got around ok but hung out in the back room & there was TONS of room (& fewer ginos
)...
I basically called it quits around 5am...I was really tired...but all in all...I gave that party a 7 out 10...
Would I see Tiesto again live???....I dunno
The coatcheck actually filled up after we stood in line for a good 45 mins waiting. Standing around in there with big winter jackets isn't too good
Besides that tiesto was pretty crazy, played a typical set, I enjoyed it.
HOLLLY FUCK! What a set!
Mind-blowing! Can't wait to get this set, hopefully!!
The opening DJ (Sean Miller?) was pretty damn good as well! I enjoyed his stuff.
starsearcher: Were you the tall, skinny guy taking pics with your camera phone? lol I'm in one of your pics and I remember you in the area I was taking a bunch of shots.
Just got home to Kingston from TO. Holy T.A. Nation last night! I met a lot of TA’s last night but didn’t seem to meet up with all the people on the Tiesto Board. Smitty --> I wasn’t even sure if you were there, you always seem to be in front of the DJ at all times and I didn’t see you once!
I’ll keep this as short as I can, as dEsidEL had an awesome review.
Highlights:
• Voyage – Yahel (I’ve been waiting to hear Tiesto drop this for two years)
• Find – Ridgewalkers (I would have to say that this is the tune of the night. When this tune came on, you could hear everyone singing it and there was an awesome vibe in the room)
• Lounge Area – This is the first time I had ever been to the Docks and I really liked their set up of the lounge compared to the Guvernment. Just not as crowded, nice sound system.
• 7 Hours of Tiesto!!!! He is my favorite and it’s not that often you get to see your fav. DJ spin for 7 hours!
• I got one of those flyers that were autographed; however I thought I was going to get killed for it.
I was going to give up but thought I would try once more and I actually was able to catch it in mid air!
• Open your Eyes – Nalin and Kane (I was hoping Tiesto would play this and he did. What a freakin classic)
• I found that is was just comfortable and not overcrowded considering it being sold out. With this said, if you were directly in front of the DJ at the beginning of the night, it was crowded and warm (but I’ve been through worse) but if you moved off to the sides, you had room to dance and it was a cool temperature.
• Tiesto’s style! I loved it, different from what he played in June. More hard and dark, but not the whole set, so there was a good mix!
Low Points:
• I felt the crowd pushing was way worse then at the Guvernment. I find that when I’m at the Guv, people are much friendlier about it, but not last night. However this maybe my imagination.
• The worst thing about the night was the whole set up of the coat check. Did they not realize how many tickets they had sold and its winter time so everyone will have a coat to check???? Not only did we wait in the coat check line-up for 45 minutes, right when we got to the door they stated that coat check was full. So being about 30 mins to Tiesto coming on stage, we decided to ditch our coats in the back room behind curtains. I wasn’t really feeling good about the situation, but I didn’t want to take it on the dance floor cause it’s a full length WHITE jacket. This morning when I went to claim my coat, it was gone but my friends coats where there, so I know it was taken! WTF???
I know that I took the chance of leaving it out in the open but I really didn’t have a lot of options. It was a really nice coat and my favorite. One of a kind. BUMMER!
Other then that, I had an amazing night. So good to see a lot of my friends out and other people that I have met at the Guvernment over the last few years. It was really good to meet you Wesjor!
You and your friends are awesome people and I really enjoyed hanging out with you all night! Also thanks for being the warmth in the lineup. Ask Linzie for my MSN.
StarSearcher -->I was really happy when Tiesto dropped in Gouryella for ya!
So far, from reading all of the reviews, here is the start to the tracklist (And I have added some to it). Still lots to go! Any other contributions?

awesome night
Docks owns guv........ first time being there since my high school semiformal. As for the dancing platform, that was the best shit ever. It was like a dancing trampoline, you didnt even have to dance, it was automatic, fuckin cool. Tiesto was good but nothing really blew me away.... (well maybe except for pound and the work he did on the mixer for till ya drop) I really liked his looping and cuts n' shit.
I was definatley impressed, only like 2 trainwrecks, not bad. Crowd was awesome , really good vibe, there was times it looked like a full out rave, solid.
P.s. you can thank me and carney for gouryella - gouryella
(special request from the dancefloor)
sounds like i made the right choice leaving my jacket at home.
Thanks techead for the shots and "tour"
ps. the tour sucked.lol.

question:
ok, so here is my question. why is it you guys think that tiesto's set was AMAZING? from what ive read it seems as though he played tracks that EVERYONE knew. was it the best becuase he played nothing but BIG ANTHEMS?
wouldn't you guys love to see tiesto in a smaller venue (more intimate) playing fresh underground music (that you are unaware of)? i think something like this would really allow him to be A LOT more creative than he is when he spins BIG EVENTS.
those are my thoughts...
GOODNIGHT
p.s. im glad that all of you enjoyed yourselves to the fullest! at the end of the day thats all that matters...
that was an awesome party, i danced on the middle thing for like 7 hours straight
Amazing.... I didnt think I'd see that in toronto again. I made some mistakes to think that this party may not turn out right, but it destroyed all my expectations. Of the 4or5 times ive seen tiesto that was def his best. So if that is what the future holds for trance, its all up hill from here.... for now
I love the Docks renovations, perfect party atmosphere and decor. the sound system was simply amazing - we noticed the amps were up only 1/3 of the way and it was still the perfect volume. my ears dont hurt or ring at all (yes I had earplugs, but sometimes they still ring after) and I could easily hold a conversation there.
great lighting
great staff
the crowd, not bad at all really - its expected these days
Tiesto - amazing flow, and mixing Thanks Project Orange, TA, and everybody else involved with this landmark event!!

This is something I hadn't seen the last two times I saw him.
WOW!!!!! what an event!
The line outside wasnt to harsh and luckily i said fook it and left my coat in the car. but my g/f didnt. We got in around id say 11:15ish . Went to coat check and it was rammed. We didnt move for 10 min so we decided to check later. Went and got a decent spot behind the middle raised section and waited for tiesto who was supposed to be on in 5 mins
like 45 mins go by and he was on.
checked coat check later and again , there as no progress. I nice dude who was walking back from near the front said it wasnt worth it since it took him like an hour to get to the door..then there was the wait in the room. later I hear it was over 2 hours and 20 mins to wait for to check your coat. simply unacceptable!
overall i had a blast. Tiesto was great! yeah there were a few slow moments but what can you expect for 6 hours. you need to slow it down sometimes
.
A little to much shoving and pushing for my liking but nothing that wasnt bearable or that you couldnt handle. Im only 6'1 but I felt huge. A LOT of short people
I would definately do this again and next time for an event such as this Im buying at least 5 extra tickets!!!!! aahahaa. Couldve made a nice little chunk of coin while in line.
Sorry I didnt meet up with any of you. I rolled by the meet up area and noticed the dude with the white tiesto shirt but decided to get a drink. Then it was so rammed and he was supposedly coming on soon so I went to find a better spot. Next time I guess.
Nearing the last couple hours I was there found a nice spot near the back bar(in the mainroom) where you could see tiesto, had some room to move, and it was cool cause of the fridge . ahahha.
great stuff! I wonder what will be next!
I just wanted to say... SCREW YOU ALL!
Sincerely
Jelous West Coaster
*cries*
as for the music.
I did NOT recognice a lot of the stuff he was playing. So imo it wasnt a lot of well known anthems . Obviously he dropped some like traffic but overall it wasnt a night of top 40 hits
I was hoping to hear some certain songs which I didnt get to. maybe he played them in in last 2 or so hours I dunno . I had to leave at 5
what time did he finish?
Alright I woke up...sort of
Still buzzing from last night OMG - MAGIK MUZIK - and 7 Hours of it
So the day was going so slow - studying thinking come on - "is it time go go yet..." Finally it was time, left the house at around 9:15 - got to the docks at around 9:45 - couldn't believe how long the line ALREADY was
the doors were still closed and the line just kept growing and growing. Finally around 10:10 doors were open and we could hear some sweet beats coming from inside the club - I guess once they opened the doors the crowd movement was pretty quick. Met with Kurfew and tha broad just before going in
Walked inside the club and...got a free Rev - very nice
I was liking it already. The coat check line was INSANE but since we got there early it was at least manageable although I thought it was a rip off - $15 for parking and $3 for coat check
Anyays walked in started seeing pretty much everyone randomly in the coat check line, took some pictures hung out with the TAs - Shawn Miller was VERY VERY impressive I really enjoyed his set, seriously GOOOD work!
Got together for the TA meetup at around 11:30 I guess as scheduled but I think most people were still in line so not too many showed up - either way we had some shots and a nice "tour" as Pett metioned - thanks to techhead
Thanks a lot for that!!!
At around 12 we were waiting for Tiesto in front of where he was supposed to come in - RJ, myself, and the rest of the TOTA massive around but we got totally shut down by the "bouncer" - he just shut down all the curtains on us so that was a shame - but as soon as I realized it was a lost cause I just jumped right in the centre of the dancefloor. OOOMMMMGGGG it was SOOOO PACKED!!!
People were seriously not moving cause it was insane - Nat joined me for a bit, took some pics and had to get out lol.
Tiesto came on at about 12:30 if I'm not mistaken - people went insaaaaane (which is always fun to see). He opened with WOW - Killa which has this looooong intro so it was great. By the way that cold compressed air thing from the ceiling was great - reminds me of that show "the club" hehehe - really cooled the place down when it needed it. The set started off proggy - a bit slow but by the 3rd song he progressively increased the pace and the bpms. I'd have to agree with Pett about the mixer usage - absolutely crazy work with that
I pretty much stayed in the centre the whole time with a little walking around to take pictures. The set was amazing really, probabbly one of the best - and unlike last time at the Guv where he seemed obviously tired and not into it, he was on fire tonight - doing all his usual dancing, moving, clapping, flying and etc - I love watching him do it - kinda makes the whole experience even better and pumps you up - the crowd loved it too.
He saw me and my shirt when the crowd cleared up a bit towards the middle-end of the night and he kept smiling about it hehe - I figured he probabbly remembers me anyhow but it was still fun getting the thumbs up and such. At the end RJ and I were jumping together and he noticed us and "waved at us" I guess (not even sure how to call it lol) - so that was pretty awesome as well.
I still can't believe he played for 7 hours - I mean that was just so impressive
He chilled at the booth for a while after his set - I went to see if I can catch a flyer but once I saw people almost killing for them I decided it's not worth it cause I don't want to look like this after
After we got our coats back he was still in the booth and everyone almost left - so I ran up and screamed "TIEEESSOOOO" lol he turned around all smiling and I said thank you - you're the best...lol...he was really happy hehe that bastard though...I still can't get to meet him lol. Aaaahhh anyway so that was the night...really really amazing - we got our own little Tiesto in Concert minus all the magic shows
And ITM is not a joke
Hehehe...I'm working my ass off and I'm in coop as well...besides my 2 exams aren't even ITM courses (tomorrow) - But I knew that Tiesto will be in town so I planned my studying accrordingly
It's all about time management hehe. And to the person who asked if I was a skinny guy taking pictures with my cell phone - no that wasn't me.
Although it was funny when in the crowd some couple asked me to take a picture of them and then asked for my e-mail address - and then the guy goes
"You are...starsearcher...THE STARSEARCHER...
" hahahaha
that was just too funny lol...Anyways...back to work
Good morning for those who are just waking up hehe
