I use 3xosc, Albino, Pro-53, Discovery, V-Station mostly.
i just tried out adventus. holy shit. and this thing is synthedit?! the gui is a bit scrappy although vanguard set the standard for guis (^_____^)
i found the rotaries and sliders a bit fiddly. i couldnt turn them very smoothly with the mouse and it just made it fiddly to automate. the envelopes are nice but again the sliders are too small - a little change produces a very noticeable and dramatic effect.
the sound is pretty forward. right at the front actually. it overpowered zeta in some places. CPU load is on par with zeta. i.e. pretty big CPU hit with just 1 instance. very suitable for hard crunchy, detuned leads (this is amazing for hard trance and hard house) and also evolving type pads, leads and analogue FX.

i reckon, with an update or 2 and a shiny new gui, a little bit more polish allround, adventus is definitely in competition with the big league virtual analogue VSTis. i made some hard house hoovers just now + glide. they are *HUGE*

| Originally posted by DRM You said that u didnt think albino was much use for leads and bass. I have used albino extensively and have recieved a fair bit of praise for the things ive created with it, so i said that and you replied "so?" all i was doing was pointing out the facts and you were the one to reply in a rather rude manner, which only provoked me. |

Now if you think of bass and lead, i think there's better synth at the moment "TRANCE WISE" when i said that albino is not good for bass or leads, that meaned FOR ME, for my tastes. |
yeah it sounds good
bass could be fatter tho ( just my taste ). Pluck lead sounds really cool, i really like that sound!
pad are ok but maybe needs more layering ( once again MY TASTE )
