Some people claim that they made the first commercial EDM/trance track too...I don't really agree with that though.

"On The Run" is waaaay ahead of it's time imo, with the big fat arpeg and the amaount of tape sampling. That is another skill on it's own.
That thing that lets it all down a bit is some of Roger Water's later stuff, the solo stuff. I think he just cashed in on the whole concept album theme. The Wall is obviously very dark and powerful, with some of the most well known songs which are actually not know by some (if that makes sense
)

Love the earlier psychadelic stuff (cant spell
) from the Barret days.
Floyd were one of the first bands to actually create symphonic rock. Like "Echoes" with its classical structure and its 16.30 long!
The have to be my biggest influence musically, along with Queen and Led Zep, and they have been the influence of many trance producers and djs (noticably The Orb. Pretty much everything they did had some reference
)
I thought "The Wall" was the album, and "Just Another Brick in the Wall" was the track?
