Well not really. Sleep paralysis is when you wake up but your mind and body is still in a state of dreaming, so though you can open your eyes thats as much as physial activity you can do. Feels kinda like someone is sitting on your chest, trying to pull you down. Since you're awake but dreaming, often you'll also see the craziest things, for instance, ghosts walking around the room (as in my cases). Fucking scary everytime they happen, even if you're used to them.

If this occurs everywhere you go, at all times of the day or night, you may have a mental illness, and should see a doctor in regards to it. If this is something that occurs right before you sleep, it is most likely your brain fucking with you. If this occurs when everyone is sleeping, and you're all alone, it may be paranoia.

If all of those things are ruled out, you have ghosts man... get the fuck out!

shit i'll move all da way to canada

I have that a lot too, when I fall asleep when lying on my back. Freaks me out every time, I start seeing all sorts of things then too, and hearing things, and in the background I hear this high-pitched screeching noise getting louder and louder. I always find a way to force myself to wake up though, but it's really scary everytime.

Fuck yeah, it's freaky shit. i just remembered i use to get this a lot when i was a kid. There were these black 'bomb like' things fly down from the sky and there was this picket fence in a big circle. Then a big log would come raging out of nowhere and stop cm's away from my face, then i would always have this feeling that is indescribable. i get this feeling seldom now but when i do it always reminds me. Synaesthesia as well. This was my nightmare as a kid, but i always was 'awake' when i had them.

night as in the time i was about to fall asleep. Alright, here goes.

So, it's last night and I didn't do anything the whole day except go to my brother in law's house with a few friends to go mess around on the dj equipment, and just to play some good ol' x-box; eat some pizza and just have a good time.

this part of your story confused me. when you say you went to your brother in laws house it implies you are married but you seem to be living at your parents house and not sleeping next to a wife or anything?

one day i was working with my computer, i mean, i was playing quake3
suddenly i sense someone behind me, i turn around imediately, and no one is there BUT the moment i turned around, the curtain of the window about 2 meters from me waved with air movement
the room was totally closed, no wind coming from nowhere, the curtain had been still before and didn't move again after that
i did sense something, and was a very strong feeling
maybe a ghost?

Posted by echosystm on Dec-24-2004 01:08:

lol, u think thats creepy?

I was staying home by myself for the whole weekend for the first time when i was 13 (yes, a sheltered life i know) and at about 3:00am the sensor lights down the side of my house went on, waking me up. Basically, at my house the driveway is concrete and goes all the way from the street to the shed at the end of our block, the sensor lights are in the little car cover thing attached to the house (partaco? i dunno). So anyway, 3am these lights wake me up. This happens all the time, so i'm just like "ok it was a cat lol", the lights turn off, i try to go back to sleep. By this stage, like, I would have shat myself if I heard a mouse fart. Anyway, 10 mins later the light comes back on again. This pattern repeated like 3 times. Then, I heard this scraping sound, REALLY loud, sounded as if it was going up and down my driveway. K, so like, i am absoluitely shitting myself at this stage but too tired and half asleep, eventually I just fell asleep and assumed it was nothing.

I got up the next day, there was a massive iron bar, about 3m long in the middle of my driveway, and it had been dragged up and down - there were deep scratches all over the concrete

Posted by R.j. on Dec-24-2004 01:22:

Posted by echosystm on Dec-24-2004 05:18:

No :P

The wind would roll it, this looked like someone was holding the end and was dragging the other end along the ground... if you know what i mean
