Actually, with just one joke the person proves to be funny. It only takes one! Consintency is a different thing. So it's wrong to say the guy is not funny at all. But what's funny is the fact that you tried to point out that the other person wasn't funny at all when you actually said that he was funny. Funny, isn't it?

LOGIC BATTLE!!

if he makes one funny joke out of many, that doesnt make him funny because the majority of his jokes are "not" funny. that would make him NOT funny, not "funny".

Ugh, I forgot my logic already. But I would say that it only takes one to prove the whole thing/stament/argument/set of premises wrong. So if he said that the other person wasn't funny at ALL when he said that he liked ONE joke doesn't make sense. One joke is enough to prove that the person is in fact funny. You can't rely on majority of good jokes vs. bad jokes to determine whether he's funny or not. It is that one joke that makes him funny. He had that one moment. He's funny but not at all times. Does it make sense?

Depends on when that one time occured. If it was during the post that he had quoted, then I suppose I'm making progress and am currently funny when I was not before. But if that one time has long passed, then I guess I missed my opportunity to capitalize on that moment and am no longer funny in consequence. If this is the case, and I, not being funny and all, have given one cause to post just to tell me so, then I am certainly making progress in a different, but equally appealing way.

I am sure most of my postings in the COR are just useless, smartass remarks that should neither be taken seriously, unlike the asteroid hitting the earth thread which should absolutely be taken seriously, or be taken as anything other than sinical, boredom-driven attempts at amusing myself during work.
