Gods knows why Tiesto puts composed by in his credits, but the credits I have for the track definitely say produced by Tiesto.

Written by DJ Tiesto and Ronald Van Gelderen

where did i say tiesto didnt produce it?

listen to reform
he may well have produced it, but he ripped off Van Gelderen so much if he didn't credit him on the vinyl, there would have been a very expensive lawsuit
Ronald said this himself in ASOT chat ages ago

go listen to reform
you couldn't win a lawsuit on that, there are noticeable differences in the two
reform and suburban train are almost identical, just superior mastering and structure

Posted by miamitranceman on Dec-27-2004 18:09:

As a side note, can someone tell me the difference between "Suburban" and "Urban" Train?

But let's make a point by bumping it. Very smart.

Why do you care?

Posted by Stephenox on Dec-27-2004 19:06:

According to my In My Memory 2cd album's inset, Suburban Train just has "(DJ Tiesto & Ronald Van Gelderen)" under it, and later.. "All Tracks produced by TIESTO Except "Obsession" produced by Tiesto & ... aka Junkie XL."

And who cares, stop arguing. Good track anyway.

Posted by Ory on Dec-27-2004 19:16:

The track sucks.

Posted by Az on Dec-27-2004 19:17:

the track doesn't actually suck, it's the best thing tiesto ever did
he just happened to nick all the elements of it from another track

Ever heard of sampling? It's a fact of life, unfortunately. Many producers will use other people's music rather than write their own.

yeah, funnily enough I have
you usually get credit to the original though
this didn't happen until RvG kicked up a stink about it
listened to reform yet?

Yes, I've magically found an obscure trance vinyl in my neck of the woods in the space of time since you last asked me.

And again I am amazed a thread like this has already reached 4 pages.

And I'm not amazed at finding you getting your post count up by complaining about it.

Right. All I care about is my post count.

The thing that annoys the shit out of me is that people are flaming all over each other for something that should't even be in this thread.

The question was 'Did Tiesto produce Urban Train?'.

And in a very strange way people suddenly start talking about how bad the track is, and what a rip-off it is...

And now I will leave this thread, before people start flaming at me...

I suppose it wouldn't have anything to do with people like you who like to complain about it without even realising you are bumping the damn thread at the same time. Go cry in your pillow or something its a forum for christ's sake.

Posted by djxtension on Dec-27-2004 20:03:

Tiesto produced Suburban Train together with Ronald van Gelderen.

Happy now?
