You can have the greatest track selection, but if its not put together correctly it fucks everything up... that was the problem I had with Tiesto in NYC. His tracks were good, but he was all over the place with them, fucking up the flow. For the same reason why I couldnt totally get into Dyk on NYE because of the awkward flow, although it worked out for him in the end.

all the big name djs can mix, some better than others.....everyone fucks up a mix now again, every dj has a bad day sometimes. but i would rather listen to a dj whose better at track selection-(meaning- which songs and the timing of when they are played), set structure and overall energy than someone who mixes better but cant put a set together. when i go to a club, i go to have fun, dance, party with my friends and get lost in the music.........i dont go and sit on the side of the room and listen to every mix and see if the dj fucked up. ive never once went to a show and after ward said man "i didnt like his mixing tonite" yea i do notice complete trainwrecks but that doesnt stop me from enjoying any dj. and trust me if you are concentrating on listening to every mix of every song then you wont have any fun at any show whether the mixing is perfect or its garbage. i have left shows and said "man, his set was garbage" "or the music was boring" "there was no energy in that set at all" =====i focus on the tracks and the energy.

But thats the thing, Tiesto's set structure lacked and therefore took away from the overall energy, which is why I was just chillin in front for SS, rather bored. And he had his moments that he would build it up and I would start dancing... than he'd play some stupid mellow track that doesnt fit in at all, and Im left standing there, like wtf.

Yea i have to agree, his timing/selection was off in central park, but i heard all the songs i wanted to hear so it was still a great night.

okay i get it, it lacked at CP so it must lack at every gig tiesto has ever played

your going to miss out on some great djs and performances with this kind of thinking. what if sander k would have had an off nite the first time you saw him? guess you wouldnt be one of his biggest supporters right now huh? ive seen tiesto 15 x in a wide variety of venues all across north america......no can touch him when it comes to track selection and energy -imho = at least that opinion is based on something and not on a single performance

wow man.. that's awesome... it's so true... we all just want perfection out of these guys... all these huge names come to town and they've blown us away so many times, that we just cant accept a "good performance" anymore.. if it's not the most unbelievable night of our lives, then we have to come complain about how they're not what they used to be or weren't what they're hyped up to be.....
