There was alot of integration of other genres into what would normally be a standard trance set by a trance dj. IMO this has added depth into the genre. It seems there were fewer 'strictly trance' sets played. I'd probably say this was coz of the number of quality prog-/tech-housey tunes that were released this year.

I still see it as good for the trance scene, though I myself am still stuck in '99/00 =>

id have to say drum n bass has had alot of good tunes this year...also isreali psy trance this year was above par and prog house
