sadly i'm finding it hard to produce trance at the moment without it sounding overly 'standard', which is why i've been trying other stuff.

Constructive: i think the kick is a little too non-ambient... try something that takes up a lot of space and maybe has some reverb on it

Gotta say it grew on me a bit more the last few days! I thought it was pretty minimalistic (it is in fact more ambient-oriented), though it felt better after listening again.
