5 x "Perfecto All-Stars" ! Who is behind this name?

Posted by woscar on Jan-03-2005 15:55:

...

Hate to judge before listening to it first, but it sounds incredibly poppy to me!

Smiley DJ Can't be that bad...

LA Woman is one of my all time favourite songs.

I want to hear the remix of it

I'm definately gonna check this one out, looks pretty sweet to me, but I also like that more commercial house/trance stuff too, probably who its targetted towards. But I wonder what PPK - Resurrection is doing on there, quite odd.

This reminds of Ferry's euhporia CD, when I first saw the tracklist i was like "What in the hell?" but after I gave it a listen, I was pleasently suprised.

Don't judge a book by it's cover...don't judge a mix CD by it's...tracklist?

I'll be checking it out.

It says on discogs it's only Paul...but judging by the name, I'd guess it's him, Steve Osborne and maybe someone else??? Don't know, just a guess.

Perfecto All-Stars is a "crack" team of trance producers that are constantly innovating dance music. The team consists of three key members:

Paul Oakenfold
Cocaine
Ego

With these 3 things combined you can singlehandedly change the face of dance music. Amazing eh?

Do you guys know if there's any chance of a promo being released? Or an .mp3 file floating around?

Some people never learn, or simply don't pay attention...

TranceAddict doesn't support or condone FILESHARING

As other's mentioned, creamfields was great so without a doubt I'll be checking this out.. least anybody could do before judging.

Posted by memusa on Jan-08-2005 12:17:

...I have a feeling it wont be as bad as many think in this forum

Posted by keithos27 on Jan-13-2005 18:40:

Probably like The Auranaut - PWTBN on Creamfields... a classic Oakey track thrown into a comp... a little classic here and there never hurt anyone.

Posted by Subtle on Jan-13-2005 21:50:

pro-mo: Promotional copy, sometimes existing as a compact disc or a digital file. It's main purpose is to promote an album before it is released.

Posted by Reactic on Jan-16-2005 09:59:

the cover:

Ahaha I never realized the building behind him was Ice! but it does make sense.
I want another one of those marathons of the club

Unfortunately, that's not an excuse. No matter what the intent for a promo copy is used for, it's still filesharing by defination. So when you see someone say "Tranceaddict does not support filesharing", don't read it as "Tranceaddict does not support pirated music". You can argue about it for the rest of your life, but the fact is that it's filesharing (which TA doesn't support).

Obviously you didn't pay attention to what you said AFTER that...

Apparently you don't pay attention to yourself either...

Posted by Sykonee on Jan-19-2005 11:34:

...er, why all the shock at the pop-ish lineup of tracks? Don't you know this is just the soundtrack to the reality show The Club (now airing on SpikeTV!). Of course there's going to be dance mixes of Top40 hits on it. It's a mainstream release, nothing less.

Funniest moment on The Club thus far: Donald Glaude is spinning but, for some reason, there's trance music being overdubbed!
