here 2. in fact, it's one of the main reasons, one of the best feelings. my gf told me the other day she has got to the same point, where trance is the portal to happiness, to forget and forgive the cruel world, and live in a little dream.

a dream yet so powerfull, it changes what we are...

yeah, the hard part is snapping out ot the "nirvana" and back into reality, especially if things in reality aren't going that well, no matter how happy i am, i'm just 10 times more happier when i listen to trance...
ooohhh,...i love trance....currenty listening to PVD - Santos what a sweeeeeet tune

Nice question. If I'm not in a state while listening to trance I usually think of really nice scenes, like the sea, troipical islands, a nice big desert with smooth sandunes my usual vision, I see all sorts of things really its so fuckng weird to explain if you know what I mean. and about trance nation 4 yeah dude I get this really fucking horrible British autumn feel when I listen to that cd, cos I brought it in the atumn and really over cained it, like I just have memories of walking to clubs, with my mates and freezing my fucking bollocks off in a short sleeved shirt or a muscle top in a que or walking through cold windy streets, and I just feel all cold when I listen to it its so weird lol.

Rasta

Trance music definately brings forth a mass of emotion, memories and a feel of escape.
It opens up that portal with such ease...
Once in that sacred world I'm on top of a huge mountain, looking across at other glaciers and mountain tops as far as the eye can see.
I am invinsible, absolutely one with myself and closer to that state of bliss than any placated drug could ever conceive of...
Syncronicity abounds in my mixture of fantasy and reality, caught in the snapshot of my mind...
I am closer to everyone around me and have a subconscious link of understanding and knowing that we are in this peudo-world together; in our own space but somehow in a audio gelatinous reality of a common bond...
Whew!
Who the hell needs drugs??! lol...

Peace out...

let me share with you all something that came up in my mind about this thread.....i dont know how hooked is everyone here compare to me..but i ONLY listen to trance nothing else..thats how good trance is..it makes you not like any other type of music...here is my opinion why trance is soooooooo spectacular to me..
1. It has emotions, impact that no other music can touch..
2. It sounds sooo diff from anything else..
3. It has build ups and amazing synths that no other music has..
4. It makes me gets goosebumps when i hear a certain part of the song..
5. I have never felt so happy in my life with any other kind of music.
6. It makes you feel great to have friends who love trance.
7. It takes me to a place no OTHER music can take you.....

What you all think?

I think alot about childhood when i listen to trance....everything was beautiful back then

There are too many things that I think about to trance. But it all depends on the tune I guess.. Sometimes (like somebody mentioned before) I think about dancing to it (if I'm not already). Alot of times I visualize the music, seeing every note rise n fall in waves in my mind (this also works well in memorizing the melody later if it's a new song). Also, trance gives me this overwhelming feeling of happiness (sometimes my body can't express itself when this happens and there's nothing left to do but cry), it's a reassuring feeling(Walhalla is my best example for this) and I know that everything is gonna be okay, cause nothing else matters... The best is when dancing won't do the song justice sometimes, and you have to stop cause you go weak. Trance = love.

BT - Orbitus Teranium (yes I know it isn't trance): it really feels like a liftoff of some sort, and when it peaks at 5:40 I think of an astronaut breakdancing during a spacewalk. really cool.

hell yes, Orbitus Teranium is really something else, its jsut something about a bunch of those BT tunes that just encourages you to really let yourself go. I would have mentioned this earlier, but like he said, it isnt trance. I reallly wish he would make some new songs though.

hell, ANY of BT's traks sends U somewhere.. it's like a story he tells in every song.
and not only about the title, but the whole flow.. it's quite incredible what he has done so far for MUSIC in general, not only electronica...

peace...

Depending on the type of trance, ie Progressive, Hard, Uplifting.

But for the most part I just let go of anything on my mind and I can just music and I'm just totally chilled out. Music and Weed and Sex are the only 3 things that can keep me calm. So I need alot of em all ha

But Hard house/trance and Breaks, which is my fav, just makes me move .. I aint the best dancer but i sure as hell try...
