I make it a rule not to "dip my pen in company ink". Its ok at first, then when you split, you have to deal with the awkwardness everyday.
If you dont care....go for it. It just makes it hard to avoid her if you dont want to talk to her anymore.

i tried dating someone at work once. it was horribly uncomfortable. i would never ever do it again.
though i think this depends on your workplace. if you work in a more professional environment, then i definitely dont think you should consider it.

Bone her, if you won't get wierd about it. If you will, then fugidaboutit!
Hell, make it a threesome by including her friend that's leaving, and become Holefiller.

you admitted to having the urge to bone her for 4 years already.
And if she's flirting then she has it coming.
your both grown up people, I presume.

I've been flying for the same company for 5 years...moved here with the job, gone 1/2 the month...usually don't get weekends off. So, in 5 years, the only people I know in the city are the people I work with. 99% of them I don't want to see the minute I'm done working...but the other 1%...hmm...I've pondered it, but so many people say don't dip in the company pool...yet probably 20% of my co-workers date/marry people they work with. Plus with a company of 5000 peeps, it's very easy to see someone once (at work) then not see them again for six months on the job.
Eh...the travel industry is just whack. It would just be nice to meet people outside of the job...but it's just not happening. Face it, the chicks don't dig the uniform anymore....lol.
That said, I have no advice...I have my own problems to worry about when deciding to date girls I work with...

I don't see the problem. What does working at the same place have to do with anything?

dont shit where u eat!
You've only seen this girl in the office, but you have rapport.
Go out on the group thing, see how it goes out of office. If you like hanging out with the girl, ask her to lunch another day.
Repeat as needed with lunch, then go on a dinner date.
You'll either end up as friends or more.
You don't work directly with her, so I don't think that should be an issue, particularly to just hang out.
Its a dog eat dog executive world. People are stabbin each other in teh backs everyday to climb the corporate ladder to the buttsex. I say do her pooper while you got the chance FF. Just think, when it's hot, it's hot. If you have your own office then invite her in for lunch ....errr... I mean bonk.
