The on ramp is a tool to build-up your speed BEFORE you get on the highway. Don't try to merge onto a 60 mph highway at 35 mph!

Likewise for the off ramp. Don't slow down to 35 mph on the highway before you start to exit. If you were meant to do that, there would be no off ramps, just right fucking turns.

Have you ever been in a traffic jam and you expect to see some devastating accident that blocks two out of three lanes? And then all of a sudden the traffic just disperses with no accident to be seen? Well, it was most likely casued by some jacktard who can't merge properly.

I hear you on that. If people can't handle the highway, then they should stay off. I wouldn't want my life endangered because of some moron who can cut it on the highway. When my parents drove through the Carolinas on the way to Florida last winter, for some reason, everybody would get speeding up to 70 mph and then slam on their brakes. (That was the day after Christmas, which sucked). I was lucky I didn't get car sick because of that. My mom's nerves were shot after that. You couldn't even blink without the guy infront of you slamming on his brakes.

that happened in philly while i was driving around there.

i was driving on 76 west heading out of the city... now philly highways suck enough, they're mostly two laners. i just love when it expands to three lanes and then it funnels back to two, and it's for a half mile stretch or something. and for no reason at all, no accidents, people drive at a smooth clip at 45 mph... i'm like, can't these people drive faster?

the best was on the return trip on 76 west. people driving 25-30, about what u'd expect for people to be funneled to one lane in the case of an accident. i'm half expecting to see a show or something. but traffic picks up a few miles down. kinda coincidentally, there's an empty jeep or something on the side of the road. i told my friend, so do you think everyone was rubber necking cuz of that empty jeep? i swear, it totally seemed like it.
