lets wait and see whether that occurs

Ahh yes the rumours are true. Only Jess gonna be coming out. No G&D. From what I've been told, they don't actually tour altogether.

Posted by tonydanza on Jan-09-2005 11:23:

i want to know how this will work .. i'm thinking it'll be local dj's playing tracks for jes to sing to

it should be advertised as something along the lines of "Motorcycle's Jes"

Posted by DJ SOLACE on Jan-09-2005 13:21:

TCB -- You knob...we werent given a miss, we just couldnt put it on. It would have been the same weekend as two other massive parties. Just not feesable mate.

No G&D im afraid though. But would still be a cool night. Good luck guys.

Posted by davedresden on Jan-10-2005 00:14:

this is true. so far, the only live shows josh and i do are as gabriel & dresden as a dj act.

sorry for the confusion.

we plan to tour australia in 2005

Will be posting details soon!

Well that's quite interesting that it's a "5am" gig. Seeing as the initial contact, negotiations and idea for the this was being handled by Room and Hayden from UNIFY.....

Obviously something changed because it's definately a 5am event at r00m on the 4th Feb.

No-ones been cutting anyones lunches.... Hayden passed the tour over to Oracle Events who couldnt get the job done due to difficulties booking interstate gigs. I was then later approached directly by Motorcycle's manager who offered me a date we werent able to do, then an opportunity came up as they moved their Asian tour which fitted in with date we already had booked for an event...
these things happen, just as my plans for Agnelli & Nelson didnt come through & someone else did the tour... just as someone else is doing the Lost Language tour... etc, etc, etc.

Posted by 00soups00 on Jan-10-2005 11:10:

Lost Language Tour??

Posted by Mangler on Jan-10-2005 11:25:

Yeah I guess things do happen, it's just a little dissapointing that those who did all the initial correspondance ground work, (only to have it fall away due to lack of 'suitable dates', finances, and simply a lack of firm interest in doing the party etc), get forgotten about.

and that my friend..... is life.

Posted by Huebor on Jan-10-2005 22:31:

I think a few people know my feelings to the "goings on" with tours.

We (OeP) have been approached to resurrect a few tours which due to mainly dates not being able to be firmed up, not nessecarily through any fault of promoters, usually just that dates aren't good, venue availability is scarce or the big shows (Two Tribes, Slinky, etc) are on with multiple DJs that to compete against is just silly.

We've also had a couple of tours pulled from under us when people have for their own selfish reasons (ie: they weren't happy they weren't offered the act first) have approached managers, made promises of extra (unrealistic) gigs, and then made a complete ballsup.

And no, I'm not going to name names, companies etc.

As Dave said, thats life.

Its this industry. Its competition. Karma is a bitch and it bites back hard

00downloadmymixpleaseplease00:

Dates to be confirmed once the shows are all contracted but:

Lost Language Tour - June
Ben Lost and Leama & Moor.

Posted by Aesthetic on Jan-10-2005 22:49:

you forgot the begic does perth tour

Posted by Huebor on Jan-10-2005 22:57:

I'm open to cash, wimmen or 18 year old sisters (with hot friends) as bribes.

So did you know I was in contact with LL for the last 6 months of last year trying to get that tour sorted? I passed all my contacts and event info dates etc, to the LL guys in the hope that by them contacting people directly there would be more credibility shown to those that got approached, rather than oit just coming from some lowly UNIFY team member...

Posted by Aesthetic on Jan-10-2005 23:05:

how about a happy meal with 6 nuggets instead of 3? you get a free toy..

AJS1: Nope. I knew that there have been about 5 people e-mailing me last year asking about OeP booking a perth show for Ben Lost as part of the tour australia wide.

These dates kept changing and the people who e-mailed me were not connected with each other (in terms of like the melbourne branch of a promoter/tour e-mailing me, then the sydney one etc).
