turn the trim/gain down above the hi mid & low

hmm not sure what u can do mate

Posted by Aquaplex on Jan-09-2005 07:06:

I tried turning the gain level down but that affects my line in levels as I want to be able to record my mixes.

I am really downhearted at the moment, my wireless networking wont work, one of my turntables is fucked

Posted by Ken_Allen on Jan-09-2005 07:08:

well man...then turn line in up? because on the db meter, the lights aren't supposed to go above the orange...or -0dB

try switching the left and right inputs on the mixer so the red is going to the white and vise versa

if the side getting sound switches too then it's probably a turntable or cord problem, if the side that's dead stays where it is, it's probably a mixer problem

reading through this thread, i am amazed that its taken until page 3 to mention the cart.

ken, if you are going to help people, please know what you are talking about first. apart from the mixer's cue settings and connecting RCA wires, this is the first place to look for the problem in hand.

try switching the cart from the deck that worked and put it on the 'broken' one. if that works, you need a new cart.

Before you condemn the TT switch the carts between the 2 ( as mentioned above) and make sure you don't either have a bad cart or a bad connection @ the cart.

That's a bit harsh isn't it mate? You're not usually that mean (ok having said that i've only been browsing these forums for the last month or so..

Other then that, i'd just like to say good luck at getting the problem fixed.. i'm sure i'm gonna be on here in no time (should be getting my decks this week )

ps. fair play ken, you gave it socks above. Just a pity you forgot about the carts hehe..
