after a yes/no/screw it let's go sort of night, we got there about 30 minutes into herhan's set and he was driving nicely then. Alas one of the crew insisted that he always wore shorts to home, and wouldn't believe me that saturday was different, so it was halfway through the 3 hour set before everyone got in. By that stage hernan was into a mid-set plod stage, a bit boring, but the last hour was awesome. despite a broken leg, I managed to get up and dance most of that last hour by propping my knee on a chair, it was one of those sets that you couldn't sit still through. Lots of nice little breakdowns and hands in the air moments in that last hour.
wasn't a full house, plenty of people but no problem finding space to dance anywhere on the main floor. A very nice crowd, from the person who offered me his chair at the front of the terrance as soon as I walked in, to several strangers who offered to fetch drinks for me.

Yeoh...pretty sick night. Rocked up to Q-Bar with ma mate rather early - 12ish i think. Quite empty at this stage so just grabbed a couple drinks n chilled around. Met some 30 year-old chicks randomly (what? 12 years older than us ahhahahaha) n had a mad time chattin, meetin their mates n shit. By 2ish, Hernan finally came on n started out with some deep hypnotic proggy shiznit - i was well enjoying it, but he obviously saw that he had to pick the tempo up a bit, n dropped Rowan Blades & Quivver - Funky Summa. Good to hear this out live, n myea was the start of his housier prog affair.

Other tunes heard were Morel - If You Love Me (Dean Coleman Mix), that Blue Haze tune of This Is Everybody Too, PQM - Are You Sleeping (? Mix - not the Chable mix) n then there was this fucken sick track which maybe one of you fellas know. Stank of Michael Burns in the atmospherics n the efx on the vocals which were "Make Me Feel The Love Tonight" or somethin like that.. meh i dunno. Left at about 4am as i was buggered...Mixing was all spot-on...twas a good way to spend $20...oh and teh prog-women

Ciao

Fantastic night. Hernan played one of the best prog sets in a long while. Opened with Graham and Blades - Funky Summa and slowly built after that. Some tracks he played:

Morel - If you love me (Dub mix?)
Blue haze - Into nothing (Bill hamels last time for 9 vox mix)
Matthew Dekay - Bad
Dave Guetta - World is mine (mix?)
UNKLE - Rain

and closed with

Chab - Closer to you.

Awesome night out. Home accomodated well for Renaissance and the crowd responded accordingly. Will definitely catch him next time around.

Turned up at about 1.30 and apparently by that stage it was "pre-paid tickets only" so they didn't let us in.

Thanks again, Q Bar.

He was brilliant!!And I loved that he stayed around and mingled for a while. Lovely guy as well as great dj

Forgot to mention before...the "Red Room" or whatever where Luke Chable was meant to be playing was closed off for the elite only? Fucken bullshit

To those who didn't get in - thats sucks! I was thinking of doing the same until a mate told me Q Bar was rather exclusive.
