quality stuff fahad, i feel that you could rework the bass and it could be massive (no pun intended )

Posted by davidemonin on Jan-16-2005 12:12:

Hey Fahad, nice job, liking the bass, will give it some airplay as well

Posted by DJ Terraplex on Jan-16-2005 13:02:

Hey man, this pretty awesome stuff, your productions are so good these days, and exactly the style i like.

I like this one as much as the Sunquest remix, so i will give it a spin sometime.

Nice Work

Alex

Cheers for all the comments

To bad about the bass, i meant to keep everything simple in this tune.

making a rich bass in Reason is very hard ,hope to do better next time.

Alex and David, feel free to do so and thanks.

Posted by idoru on Jan-16-2005 20:58:

Wow, excellent tune. I've never been to fond of those lead synths in any tune, but the rest of the tune is awesome. Nice work.

Big Ears

Fat , will review tomorrow

Posted by Koris on Jan-19-2005 03:35:

Hola,

i actually like this .. only a few things really disturbs my ears...

i'm not too keen on the bassline sounds, i think you can do much better with that, even with reason only

Clap sounds really bad, sorry i think you can improve this, there's a few mixing thing i would change here and there, like that first synth seq at the very beginning which is a bit loud for me. Drums could be more fuller, try to add some perc or try loop

you also need some more background seq ( like synth etc... ) (personal taste) but i thinkit can make the whole thing even more trippy a few FX sounds could also add something to the atmosphere.

but beside theses minors few points it grooves quite well maybe some more variation on the congas ?

keep it up

Posted by DJ_TonKs on Jan-19-2005 15:43:

i agree with koris, but i like this bassline
very good job ^^

Posted by EtherealSL on Jan-19-2005 22:13:

i wish the kick had a little more hi end to it... and a little more thump as well.. the bass seemed to take away from the kick so nothing unique about the kick showed through

as for the rest of the elemnts in the track: fantastic

didn't even realize the track was playing until it was over (which is a very good thing in terms of proggy music)

Posted by JohnWright on Jan-20-2005 09:50:

Wow! Very nice!

Posted by Massive84 on Jan-20-2005 11:41:

I must admit, am very suprised. People like this and i thank you

To Koris.

I could repeat my self, background atmosphere, huge bass, etc, but i did that with the sunquest remix .

Clap would be taste, i think it fits this but thats just me hehe.

Also

To Ethereal.
Ya i noticed what you mean about the kick, hope it didn't bother that much.

thanks allot everyone

Posted by Tirra on Jan-21-2005 08:24:

other than that, smooth and a ok track

mastering? try t-racks or wavelab or something..

tune itself sounds massive, massive still the same sweet melody as the original yet not as 'happy'. love the lead sound as well. and percussion is great too, although i agree with others on the clap.

good work! (and finally a post in here again by me w00t now im studying again:S)

Very nice atmospheric shivering pads. Tell me how you did those.
Pitched pads are nice. Nice pluck. Niiice!
Bass seems to change volume every time, depending on note (dunno why (resonance?), could be my speakers tho...)

Maybe it's a bit too long, it makes me so damn sleepy.. ah well, maybe you intended that

Try to get a hold of Cool Edit Pro 2 (or so. T-racks compresses it all, i don't really like that). You can limit the track a bit to make it louder, but watch out when you do that.

Nice job m8
-Jay

Thanks John and jay.

thanks to everyone , am gonne venture to Logic these months hehe. I have seen the light

Just need a good soundcard.

Jay those stabby sounds, some creativity with the NN-19 but i really wonder how i manged to make them hehe.

Posted by Frase on Jan-21-2005 20:30:

again, absolute quality - top top stuff

Posted by DjSimonB on Jan-21-2005 22:59:

Very nice!

It's no big anthem, but it's a lovely chilled track, and also has a good amount of drive to it to keep it going as well.

Not really got much else to say, good work

Posted by mezzir on Jan-22-2005 04:12:

pure gold
this is definately the first new song by anyone in any genre thats actually caught my ear enough to just sit and listen, and i enjoyed every second of it

one thing i might change, but idk
so its in what...a minor?
so the bass keeps going between an a and a f
then around 4:15 it goes like a c d
and i feel like you could eliminate the c altogether
it seems logical for it to be there, but it really goes against the flow for me
everything else in the song seems to be slowly driving but with as little unnecessary pitch movement as possible, and i feel like changing that to just a longer d or even a longer a before it could help it
class work though!

great stuff!
whatever it is, it works,
