When I think of French House, why do tunes such as THIS pop into my mind?

Or Jay Jay Johanson's "Because of You?" And if I do recall, he is from France!

Is this French House? The French seem too... dainty to sweat to the dance beat that is house, is it more apt towards French.. disco?
