Tommarow, Tuesday the 18th, is me and my girlfriends anniversary. I havnt got her anything what-so-ever. I have no money, and even if i did, i wouldnt have a clue on what to get her. she is weird and quirky and has such odd tastes which cannot be labeled or pinned down to one kinda thing. she has been pampering me like crazy and i havnt done much at all for her simply because i have no ideas, not even ideas i could take risks with and do for her anyway. i really want to do something speacial, and perferablly cheap as possible as im fucking broke as shit. it WAS my last resort comming on here and asking for help but i really need it so. yeah, pleasefuckinghelpgoddamnit

how long have you been dating?

i dont think i have ever gotten a gift for an anniversary...

buy her a beauty salon certificate for a brazilian

Posted by Zewad on Jan-18-2005 17:50:

make her a scavenger hunt.... its free and will keep her busy and have something special at the end like a dinner but at each stop along the hunt make her do an activity or search for the next clue..

by the looks of your profile, you have a TA anniversary coming up so maybe you will get a special thread in the COR to celebrate

Be sure to make the last clue "it's in my pants"

Scott did dinner at Pano's and Paul's for me and my anniversary gift was part of my Christmas present..which was the ipod...

but how long have you guys been together..if it's less than a year do not do anything other than make dinner or something real sweet. If it's over a year...let's talk

I'm totally fucked on this one.

My 6-month anniversary (not a big deal, but whatever), Valentine's Day, and my GF's birthday all lie within a week of each other.

Fuck!

Posted by MunkyAngel on Jan-18-2005 20:52:

Rob,no your not..the only way you are is if she is the type of girl that feels she needs something for each of those days. If she isn't one "mega" gift.

mega gifts rule!

Posted by UWM on Jan-18-2005 20:54:

It'll probably be one mega gift.

I guess at least I get them all out of the way at the same time

i took my ex sky diving on our 1 year aniversary...a little expensive but cool hehehe...

advice for thread starter...if you have trouble thinking up gifts...you need to pay better attention to shit your woman says through out the year. women are ALWAYS dropping hints hehehe.

but as far as last minute...i'd do something kinda what Slylee suggested...put some effort in even if it's last minute. i remember i did something kinda like that for a valentine's day...i woke up butt ass early and went and got her favorite coffee and left if with a little note on the door to look in the microwave...then i got ballons and flowers and stuff and left them at her work for her...then i had cooked dinner and had it waiting for her when she got home...and i got her this puzzle ring she had dropped hints about a long time ago hehehe...and believe me...i got what i had wanted for valentine's day hehehe

so do something like that...doesn't have to be super expensive...just something that you put effort into it...

or write a bunch of cute little poems and leave them around for her to discover throughout her day...starting with her car first thing in the morning...find out her schedule and make sure you leave little poems for her at work or school or whatever she does.

it's all about the presentation and delivery of a gift in my opinion. i was broke around the holidays and i could only afford get my boyfriend a couple of dvds and cologne (his bday is day after xmas so i felt like i should get him more). i bought a nice cake and got him balloons and some red roses. i had to pick him up from the airport on his birthday at night since he had been visiting his parents. so before i left to get him, i put the cake on the table w/ the balloons next to it and a couple roses arranged on the table with his presents...then i took what was left of the roses and i left one in the door knocker and one down each flight of stairs in our apt. building...we're on the 3rd floor. so when he got home and started walking up the stairs and saw roses, he looked confused at first, but then he knew it was his hopeless romantic girlfriend.

DAWWWWWWWWWWWW! don't you just want to puke now?

sappy, but great!
