Oh well - where will everyone be going tonight - shoudl we all meet at Christie Pits and go sleding down some snowy hills?

we should do this soon - it would be a blast!

ouchie! how is that going? I had that done a couple of years ago too - but i had a really good turn out - no puffiness and no pain, it went really well!

did you end up getting you tongue peirced recently too!?? well at least that pain of a peircing will be nothing compared to getting your wisdom teeth pulled!

Ya Loca, you got your tongue pierced??? didn't you?
Did you have to take it out for your operation?

Posted by dallastar on Feb-25-2005 21:38:

That's what happend to me.... I had knee surgery and they made me take out my tongue ring.. As soon as I woke up it was the first thing I thought about, so I asked the nurse for my barbell... It wouldn't go back in

Posted by loca on Feb-25-2005 22:00:

Yeah the funny thing with me is i got no swelling whatsoever. The pain on the other hand is pretty extreme. Thank god for prescription painkillers!

And yeah i got my tongue pierced 3 weeks ago today! The dentist was like "Oh you have to remove all jewelry." I just looked at him and asked him if he would pay to get it repierced then because if i took it out now, there's no way it would go back in. I got to keep the tongue ring in Yay!

But yeah, compared to the teeth, the tongue ring is really nothing (although i thought it hurt like hell when i got it pierced!!)

No kidding.

Okay so getting my tongue pierced did hurt alot... sharp shooting pain... but it PALES IN COMPARISSON to the pain I experienced in getting my wisdome teeth pulled.

I have NEVER TO THIS DAY ever experiences more pain in my life and im still hard pressed to think that even a gun shot could hurt more.

I was on prescription pain killers for the first week of so, but the first 3 days especially NOTHING worked... i was talking extra strength advil IN ADDITION to the other apin killers and yet i still had UNBEARABLE pain... i honestly couldnt operate... the pain was so intense i had chills... at the really bad points it was IMPOSSIBLe to sit or stand still bc it just hurt soo much and staying still semed impossible.. i remember just sitting up in my bed a couple times just rocking back and forth trying (in vain) to somehow make myself forget about the pain!

I hope i never experience such pain ever again in my life. Compared to that, getting ur tongue pierced dont even register as a blip on the radar (and plus the tongues pain goes away MUCH faster than the pain in my gums did!!)

id do a tongue piercing over again in second if mine ever filled in, i just like having it too much its cool!

Posted by loca on Feb-25-2005 22:23:

Yeah it's crazy how much pain it causes! I'm on extra strength Motrin IB as well as the pain killers and to be honest, most of the time it just doesn't work all that great. Plus i also got a molar pulled out, and that one hurts even more than the wisdom teeth. It's such a constant sharp pain, i feel as if my mouth is swollen when it's really not!
Add that to fact that i can't eat anything (and i love food!!) and you got yourself a pretty unhappy loca
The only time i'm happier is when i'm passed out in a haze of [prescription] drug-induced sleep.
