SORRY!!!11
Even if they will fly from Emirates to Toronto - they would never use that new Airbus for a direct flight...there might be 50 people MAX that will be flying back and forth...that plane is WAY too big for Toronto!!! And most people won't be able to afford it. If it was NY or LA or some other MAJOR city then sure
*using Trump's voice* its HUUUUGE

I think he's gonna get one just for himself, coat it with goooooooooooooooooooold (imagine goldmember's voice here) and fly it around the world with his hottie fiance
You are probably right. The A380 would be too big for a DXB-YYZ route. But EK do fly daily to JFK from DXB on a A340 (500 or 600, I can't remember), and to my knowledge are doing pretty well in that route. If and when EK are to fly here, the aircraft of choice would be the A340.

Air France will use the A380 for their 3 daily flights between Montreal-Paris
that'll be awesome
its a Canadian company (10 km from my place) that developped the A380 simulator... CAE www.cae.com

Their new building (the burj) is almost 1000 feet higher than the Freedom Tower that is proposed for the WTC site in NYC. ![]() Karim |
what is it with you and Dubai?

The emerging Dubai construction/banking/commercial boom is quite different than the "tech bubble" of Silicon Valley... there is really no comparison
there's no doubt that they can build all those buildings and 10 times more... but they need companies and people to fill them.
Since you can't become a citizen, who's really intrested in moving in that place?? Going thru the hassle of renewing your resedency papers every 6 months? no thanks.

.. because they are going to undergo a construction boom even bigger than Dubai's! As a matter of fact it has already started, check out this $9,500,000,000 USD development on Abu Dhabi's offshore.
dude, there were people moving in NYC and that wanted to live in there.
Dubai is just a city in the middle of the desert, cut the electricy for one day and look how people will drop like mosquitos sprayed with some RAID.
Like I said before, I know people who want to work there some years to make some money, but to actually live there and raise a family?!!? no one is crazy enough to do that.
Ever heard of the cast system in there? Where Africans/Pakistanis are the lowest, Indians then, Arabic, Europeans and at the top North Americans just before the locals. If you get into a dispute with someone with a higher status/cast or worse a local, you're expulsed from the country in the next days. no thanks.
