LOL at Mario Kart, not played that for years.

If things go wrong I just keep mixing and throw on a couple of my fave tunes, usually guaranteed to get me back in the mood.

If its not happening I'll roll one up, then I'm too mashed to think about things that are gonna fcuk me up.

Smile

Mario Kart PWNED, I love the Gamecube version, fucking hilarious, the HUGE bombs running about with baby mario and baby luigi in a shopping trolley chained to the back of it, fucking sweet =)

Oh man, Derivative always makes awesome posts, and that Mario Kart post is no exception, its so true its not even funny, as for a slump, I been in one for awhile now, the music just doesn't get me into the mood like it used to, breaks are doing it more for me now, so I wonder if its time to change my ways.

heheh, if you aint feeling the tunes it may be time to take a detour into a new style of music (if only for a short while). i hit a musical brick wall just before christmas. so i stopped with the trance production temporarily and starting listening to some psy on the recommendation of a good friend. so a little bit of halluncinogen in dub, a little bit of voice of cod, some cosma and shpongle later and a christmas with lots of turkey and im back into hard house euphoria and im producing the best tunes of my life. hehe, i guess i set a metaphorical new lap record with my hard house production. long way to go, but creeping forward and not wasting any time getting frustrated about not being up to scratch

the equivilent would be stopping doing time trials on mario GP 1 and playing donut plains for a bit. then when you rediscover the love of the game, its back onto mario GP 1 for the true test of skill!

dannyo you tried getting into breaks for a month or 2? i spin breaks occassionally although im horrendous but the variety is astonishing. a mate of mine just got leftfield's rhythym and stealth and oh my god did i almost forget what an amazing song swords is. thats exactly what i need to hear to get me fired up right now! i feel like writing a tune - thanks guys for helping me get back in the zone!

Oh man, love your comparisons with Mario Kart, gonna play that when I get home now.

But yea, I been getting into breaks over the last few months, don't have much as I'm picky and looking for a certain sound, I think its because its different and I can mess around with it more, but for me right now mixing 3/4 beats is about a thousand times easier than 4/4 beats right now, I just seem to lose interest, but I don't get it, the tracks I'm dropping I still love.

Me so confused, but yea, I'll take your advice and change styles a fair bit for now, hopefully 2005 will bring something that will sound just right for me.

Or how about afew months, because I can't pull of a really smooth mix unless mixing breaks or something, when I do trance or something, I can get them matched and they don't trainwreck, but there no where near as smooth as they should be.

A little out of subject... I was looking for some eurodance songs on some p2p network and I found only your remixes of it in good quality. However,I don't remember the song but it was probably something like either Fly Away or Rhythm of love of Dj Company or Me and You from Alexia... maybe something else.. but I was like : Hey that DannyO is from TA!

Congratulation!
